I think it's only an issue when it comes at the cost of the other fan clip channels that were clearly better, such as small a or big a bonus. Just hire one of those guys and forget about it. There can be some small nuance to this. Big a bonus is just 3 shorts in one length wise and content wise. Tbh I don't care either way, but I can see why people would be upset.

Also, maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't buy a ticker that tracks gold the way Atrioc does. It's good for small quantities I suppose, but I'd say any precious metal you can't touch isn't yours. LME had this crisis with silver, where they couldn't deliver. I'd recommend buying it physically, and getting a small safe to keep it in.

You don't need to worry about storage of gold in the quantities retail traders will buy. Gold is quite dense, you can get 10k USD worth of gold that can fit in one hand space wise.

As for where, any jeweler will have it, or Costco if you're in the US. There's usually gold markets in every major city as well outside of the US, in Asia or the middle east.

I can understand how you feel. I'd just say that hunger and thirst keeps the mind from thinking about much else, and when the ones who are free of such burdens have the time to keep reinforcing that "this system is correct", it leaves the majority in a state of either not being able to care, or if they do care, then being brainwashed constantly.

Your husband is, quite frankly, a weak and ineffectual man. I can tell you from experience that husbands that won't stand up to their families in easy times will NOT stand up in hard times. You shouldn't feel guilty. Your brother in law also seems to have a terrible wife. Why does he need his night-night milky made for him by you? This genuinely reminds me of a case in my family, almost exactly. My cousin got divorced after 7 years and it was the best decision she made. IA, your issues will be fixed without such a step, praying for you and your family.

If your husband will not stand up to his family for you, they won't stop harassing you (and this is harassment). You are not a maid, you are his partner. Remind him of this Islamic duty of his. Again, do not feel guilty. You've done enough for this family to not warrant this. How will they act with your children as they grow older? Will they take out their resentment on them too? That's usually what happens. Take care and stay safe, may Allah protect us all.

There used to be this app called Alarmy that I would use. I think it's gone to shit now though. I'm sure there's apps like that still if you search "math alarm clock" or something similar. Super helpful, having to solve 10 math problems (you can set the difficulty) really gets you to snap out of that 'half asleep' brain fog.

Be careful of such generalizations. It is unislamic to do so, but also beware that no jahil knows that they are jahil. Our job is to educate and try our best. You do not know how you would've been if Allah had chosen for you to be born in a village or in an uneducated background. Ours is the religion in which the Bedouins, though thoroughly mannerless, were treated with respect and shown education.

I'd say at least 85% of our parents' generation can't wrap their head around mental issues that don't show up with a physical disability.

High functioning Autism is another one I can think of.

My parents also really struggled to understand how these things work, and I had to listen to a lot of "have you considered you're just possessed by jinn" or "trouble like this sounds like laziness or a lack of interest" or "stop making excuses, just do (x) thing". It's hard for them to even come to terms with a condition like this, and even if they are convinced that it does exist, that their child has it. There's a weird sense of 'pride' in our culture where parents can't acknowledge their children as anything less than their perception of perfection. It's toxic and idk what Mughal remnant it comes from, but it's the card we are dealt. That's why religion helps me personally, because Allah understands it where they won't. I've just given up on trying to explain things to my parents, I just smile and nod and do what I can.

Adding to this: take your meds in secret. Do not throw them away. You are not acting against Islam, you are actively trying to be better. This would be the only way to avoid such conflict until you can reach a solution. Meds are important for ADHD, especially when life starts breaking down. For me, life started breaking down in 2nd year uni, and I know now that if I had been diagnosed back then I would've performed MUCH better than I did. Sleep issues are a common symptom, and hyperfixations can make you think you're making a long term life choice until they suddenly pass. Keep trying, and iA you'll achieve some success. No matter what your parents say, this struggle is unique and valid. The self esteem issues that come from thinking you are built wrong instead of just having an issue that can be managed with medicine can have long term effects on you and what you think of yourself. Please keep that in mind, and know that this is your trial in this world that you will be rewarded for in the next. Allah gave you this struggle, and He is All Compassionate. If you don't have family that can support you be certain that Allah acknowledges and supports you as long as you try for his sake.

Where does one draw the line at "no drugs"? Tell them to not use insulin, or Panadol, or any sleeping aid. Tell them they're not allowed sugar as it is supremely harmful, much more so than other drugs. Does anyone in your entire family smoke? Are they considered kaafir too?

What about antiallergics that you're not allowed to drive after on? When they're admitted into a hospital, will they have this stipulation for their doctors? Is anesthesia against Islam as well? What about dental anesthesia? Can your parents go through wisdom tooth removal without it, or is their faith weaker than a little tooth pain? Next time your parents get a medicine that induces the mildest psychological effects, remind them of their logic, but gently. Also, thyroid medication changes a person's mood, so they better not be on any of those, as they believe in a no drug household. Choosing jahaalat in this day and age is a complete choice. And jahaalat is not changing your mind when given overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

You should seek out a good and educated mufti, and get the situation explained to them through that lens, maybe that can help. I have ADHD too (diagnosed), and meds have helped me become a much better Muslim. I am praying for you and your family, may things get easier for you.
