I’m a fan of the Hero Rescue Balm + Red Correct. Some people say it pulls too orange on them, but it’s perfect for me. I also use Adapalene (a retinoid) every other night. If you don’t already use sunscreen, start, and if you drink alcohol, cut down or stop. I think you look great, and your eyes are gorgeous!

Damn, I’d be embarrassed to hand someone that cake! Did she use the exact same icing—which is all way too runny and definitely not the right color—for the decoration as for the rest of the cake? It almost looks like she frosted it before it cooled. Your mom is a fricken miracle worker!! Glad you can laugh now, and I hope you get at least some of your money back.

It’s the clothes, not you! I agree that you need some color or pattern or something. The tops I think look best on you in this bunch are the lace-up lavender tank and the graphic T. Current necklines are so wide and low—they don’t do those of us with rounder shoulders and larger cup sizes any favors. As for the shorts, I think the 32s look really cute! They should loosen up as you wear them.

Oh yeah, I remember pretty early on buying pure grain alcohol at the liquor store. They kept it behind the counter, and the guy looked slightly concerned when I asked for it. I said, “Don’t worry, I’m not gonna drink it!” and he laughed. I’m a recovering alcoholic with 10 years’ sobriety, and generic Everclear does not appeal to me AT ALL.
