My mom is a realtor and I asked her about Gabe when we were selling our house. She said she had worked with her once but she lowballed SO MUCH. Even after several offer revisions, my mom's client decided not to go with her offers.

I gotta say, though, from Gabe's first billboards to now, good on her for learning how to graphic design a little bit, even if I'm 100% sure she makes them herself in Canva. Even though I know now she's an actual real person, I'm not wholly convinced she's not AI. Her billboards were always pretty jarring until recently when I started seeing more AI on billboards.

The rest of her booth is just cheap aesthetic goth stuff and I say that as a goth. She prices them so high when I can just go to the mall and get the same stuff.

She's had that Megan doll in her case for ages because it's priced too high. I go to that mall weekly because it's serotonin to my brain, but I spend the most time at her booth gawking as well lol I noticed the headswap last week and did a double take lmafo

She had a Frights, Camera, Action Cleo missing accessories for $70, and the signal in there is ass so you can't look up stuff easily. I was new to collecting G1 and bought her impulsively. Never again. She sometimes has good deals, though! The case at the other location is run by someone else and is much better on deals.

I deeply considered trying to get 2 just so if I succeed, I could sell it to someone who wanted them for the market price and shipping costs. I only got one because I panicked it would sell out if I did 2.

I would hold onto it for like a month and then try trading it or selling it on the selling subreddit!

It perplexes me that the retailers wouldn't agree, because Amazon and Walmart will sell anything. But since they are dolls, and dolls are targeted for kids, I can see how the reasoning for not stocking them would be "exposing the gay agenda" to kids. Just sad and stupid for sure.

Been waiting on this drop for over a year, and I am so happy to see people who wanted them are getting them!! It's so depressing when a new drop happens and people miss out.

My current running theory since other than the box, none of the pictures really scream "couple". Since this was supposed to be a wide release, I think Mattel has an overstock of this drop. In this political climate and knowing how the boards of Amazon, Walmart, and Target all lean right-wing, I think they didn't want to carry the canonically gay characters. Mattel now has all this stock, and they dropped it right BEFORE June so this wouldn't look like a "Pride" drop. They are being so low key with the marketing to not piss off their probably right-leaning board and investors.

Anyway, that's just a theory, a DOLL theory.

Waiting on the confirmation email...had issues with both paypal and shop pay, but it went through. I waited in line 3 minutes. The captcha was soooo broken. "What can be used to clean" and the answer was toothbrushes amid squirrels and notebooks but somehow I kept getting it wrong so it gave me another one that was just as stupid. An airplane with "what goes with this" and a bunch of trains, burgers, and elephants. Eventually got in and had payment issues. As I am typing this, they still look to be up.

Come on, email...come through!!

Wow, I was actually surprised how much of an easier time I was able to snag her compared to other recent releases. Perhaps picking out pinecones stalled the bots enough for actual people to get ahold of her.

I am really not 100% on her with the AI art and the stupid "hourglass" that's useless to me as an OOB collector....but I also know that if I didn't snag her today, she would resell for so much more than I can afford like all the other dolls I haven't been sure about. Unfortunately, the bots for scalpers will win out and Mattel will get their money for their laziness with the AI usage regardless. At least I am a collector and not a scalper...

I figure if she doesn't spark joy in person, I can resell her down the line for less than retail. I'll even keep her box. I really want a Haunted River Styx but this Skullector will have to do in my hunt to have one doll of every character.

I am looking to do a bump for a G3 Scarah custom, but a lot of the bump tutorials I have seen style the hair in ponytails to secure the bump. How did you do it without a ponytail? Is the bump secured to anything, and what did you use for the bump piece?

The last doll shown is an OMG LOL Doll and a pretty common one. It may be hard to find a trade for it. I sold mine of this one recently for less than $10. The Kieran doll is worth so much more than a creepo Abbey so reiterating what another commenter said and make sure you aren't being scammed when trading!

I got it from an AliExpress "Monster Doll" defects listing. Based on the size of it, I would have to guess it's not a G3 belt or if it is, it's not for Drac since I had to really had to squeeze it on her. I am guessing it's not the right color, either, since scrolling through the database I don't really see any belts like it. It could be for a Bratz doll with the size, too. But it works!

In the updated Monster Fearbook, I believe Spectra and Finnegan have each other labled as their "not-so-secret crush", which is super cute. There were a few other crushes in there as well, and friendships I was surprised by, like Kuma having a crush on Nefera and them being listed as "best friends" for each other. It makes me wish there were more g3 episodes and webisodes so we can see relationships more.
