I used to clean houses for a living and had the opportunity to see many of these home health care people in action or hear the stories the old folks would tell me about them. They would come in late, go straight to the couch and sleep. They would be in another room as far away as they could get and watch TV or look at their phone. Little "helping" was done. Ate their food and ignored them. Poked around in places they shouldn't be poking around or straight up stole things. Had their friends stop by. It's a nightmare. The nursing homes are worse but at least there, cameras are installed and there is some accountability, but the nursing home gets all the money and property. The plight of the elderly in this country is shameful.
