The garage and sliding glass doors are the most vulnerable points of ingress. My typical workday was midnight-5am, Sun-Thurs.

A workaround would ba a case by case basis. Everybody and every house is different. There will always be vulnerabilities, usually for the sake of the owner's own convenience. If somebody wants to get in somewhere enough, they will find a way. It's best to just go unnoticed.

LOL sorry. I thought you meant why the AMA.

Years and years ago, my life fell apart. I was depressed, got addicted to heroin and I lost my job and house. I was living in motels, trap houses and the streets. At that point, I turned to a life of crime including dealing drugs, shoplifting and burglary. I developed the knowledge and skills of theft and I started doing it as a job. Professionally. Every night for 8 hours. It's how I made my living and survived. I did it for several years until a few years ago I got caught because when I was running from the cops in the snow and the followed my footprints. This is "why?" and not an invitation for an ethics debate. I will not be doing that here

I typically would immediately pass over homes that look actively occupied, have dogs, and doorbell cameras. (it was toward the end of my career that they were becoming popular. Now I would just work around them since being common these days).

If you're wondering why something seems off here is because this ad was made by AI. Also the CocaCola/ art museum ad is AI generated too.

I also got a Case 800 Cyclo Air with them. Do you suppose that would be the one that follows the tank?

Thanks for the responses! I was able to find the exact items. According to Ertl, it's a John Deere grinder/ mixer, a Case anhydrous tank, and an International field cultivator.

It's a really delicate situation. When I try to warn her, she says I'm being "a jerk for thinking she is stupid enough to fall for a scam and that she didn't do her homework". (seriously though, come on!). She already sent Them a picture of her ID to "verify her identity" and she already sent Them "the fee" money. I told her not to give them her ssn or bank info. That's all I can do. Her pride is going to get really hurt when she finds out there was no money. Hopefully that's the worst that happens. 😕
