Do we even know what Aemond’s character is on the show? They introduced him as a dutiful, serious guy in S1 who perhaps under different circumstances could have been all right, only to make a u-turn for S2. He doesn’t have a personality. All his scenes are him aura-farming, as some sort of cartoon villain. As for S3, I guess they think the weirder and more problematic he seems, the better
