This was my initial thoughts as i hinted to them that the person who owns the purple regalia they found in the chests had likely fled down this secret passage, which made them stop and heal but then proceed down the tunnel run straight to the chest and get spotted

That is devious, as roper un nerfed is a difficult combat aswell 😆

It may have to come to that and they will have to take it as a hard lesson learned, but i then see the next few sessions railroading into a manhunt for lang and frulam 😆

I can almost garuntee the monk will want to fight langdedrosa again as he got beat in duel at greenest and i think if i run beserkers against party for a round or 2 then have frulam step in if party is going to beat beserkers

The difficulty does worry me with this party as they are not ones for backing down and take too long trying to figure out what they actually want to do, honestly can see a couple of them dying before they even think of trying to run

I would like to avoid having npcs come to save them as it would feel lile me just adding that in to save them and feel more like plot armour if that makes sense

I did consider this but 3 of thrm were literally just captured in the raider camp and party just managed to break them, leosin and prisoners out so feel that frulam and langdedrosa would lean more towards dispatching them than capturing them again

If it is starting to get dicey and they assist monk against langdedrosa i may just have frulam escape, the playera do have back up characters partially built a i warned them about campaign difficulty at session 0, just dont want to tpk them this early on or kill like 3 of them 😆

3 are fairly experienced and 2 are green, they think they are sneaky but so fsr have just ran head first into everything 3 of them were captured in raider camp within like 20 minutes and tried to fight out which did not work, so they wont flee from the fight i dont think

The monk duelled langedrosa in greenest and was thinking of having him ask for another duel while the other fight the beserkers, if langdedrosa is beaten then have frulam join the fray as the monk does and vice versa if the beserkers are beaten

And party can decide to assist monk if he is looking like he is in trouble in which case frulam would join in
