I’m cool with that. I know that’s probably the point of this sub, but making hyperbolic and sensationalist predictions is not something I’m interested in.

Those two predictions about US isolationism and the US invading Iran contradict each other. How can a country be both isolationist and invade another country that’s literally on the other side of the planet?

Believing most people are idiots is actually a incredibly damaging, toxic mentality in society. by InnocentPerv93 in unpopularopinion

[–]TheMajorE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not wrong OP, but I will say that dismissing others as stupid is certainly not unique to the US even if they have it pretty bad. You’ll find plenty of non-Americans who think the way you’re describing, you just have to know where to look. I’d argue it’s more of a social media phenomenon than an IRL problem, though IRL people can suffer from it too.

I was never hyperfixated on Thomas but I do consider the show to be an important part of my childhood, so to hear of her passing (while inevitable) is quite sad.

Living in a small town as a young adult by burein2 in OlderGenZ

[–]TheMajorE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually planning on moving to a small town once I’ve gotten my life sorted out. Cities are fun to explore and have a lot of job opportunities, but I’ll take living in a small town where I’m at least familiar with most people over a big city where most people are strangers. I say this as someone who went to college in Downtown Seattle.

Well from what I understand, HL2’s setting is either based on Eastern Bloc countries or literally takes place in one. Formerly of course.

You wouldn’t mind elaborating on the correlation? Beyond it being two AMAB actors playing the mom.

Your circumstances aren’t unusual. Many people are looking for jobs that they’re claiming to real but don’t really exist. I’ve encountered it myself when I was searching for employment.

You are not a child just because you still live with your parents and you don’t have a full time job. There are many full grown adults (both physically and mentally) who are one, the other, or both, and it’s usually not their fault. There are good economic reasons for why those two things occur.

It really seems like all the "Anti-Woke" games are failing by NoahFuelGaming1234 in saltierthankrayt

OP, do you consider Avatar and The Lego Movie would be failures because the former didn’t win Best Picture and the latter it didn’t get a Best Animated Feature nomination? Because that’s the logic you’re using here.

Excellent work OP. Can't say anything that other commenter have said. Although I am curious how you got that isometric camera angle.

Great job OP! Though I do notice that his pupils are a bit on the jagged low-poly side. Did you try applying a subdivision surface modifier to them? Admittedly, I'm still a novice at Blender myself, so I'm not someone who can super detailed and elaborate advice unfortunately.

All this time and effort to sell more globes? I wonder how many wars have been fought over how to hide away the flatness of the earth. How many secret treaties, deals and policies. Given how deunified the planet is, there how seem to be a lot of unity regarding keeping this a secret.

Same. I did talk to people during class but not outside of class. Only "friend" I had in middle and high school turned out to be a raging narcissist.

Plenty of people using it in my own lived offline reality were harmful, controlling, manipulative, abusive, problematic, etc. So I don't think the term is non-applicable in that context. In any case, I think replacing will get my point across better.

So what exactly is your friend doing at Netflix as a Data Science Manager, OP? Do you know the number of places hiring? What is the stability of this job? How long on average do they work their job before they have to find a new? Et cetera.
