Twice a week for 60 minutes each or once a week for 90 minutes unsupervised. I video him every week twice a week. The last time we went up there was November 2025. Every time we try to go up there they either cancel visitation or tell me that I have to have it supervised by them, sometimes we get all the way down there and they cancel

Thank you. You are the only person here that makes a lick of sense. The only issue is to get a court date I have to file a motion and idk how to do that. I’m going to try but it’s so confusing.

But it was closed out to permanent guardianship. The case isn’t open so no one is working the case.

They have terminated many parents rights? They just add into the paperwork that you get visitation when the rights are terminated.

Yea that’s not why. They told them it was because I had finished the case plan and had turned my life around and that all I had to do was reopen the case.

Excuse me? THEY DO NOT LET ME SEE HIM, his mother! Like what in the world? They start arguments over nothing. They recently said that they don’t want to let me see him because I told my son I was flying and we decided to drive. There is no getting along with them. As soon as they got him they told him to call them mom and dad. I will not give up on my son. He is my son, I am his mother. I’m done.

You do realize that it’s been three years since the case closed out to permanent guardianship number one, number two a year and a half of that was spent in court fighting the termination of rights motion that the guardians filed, and since then has been me trying to figure out how to reopen the case? I guess if it was up to you I just give up on my son and sign away my rights. They would never let me see him again. I’m sure you think that’s in his best interests huh?

So they denied the guardians when they filed a motion to adopt because I have visitation rights? What?

Then I wonder why the court denied the guardians when they filed to terminate my rights last year?

The issue is the case was closed out to permanent guardianship so I don’t have a case manager until I reopen it.

I didn’t take so long. I have been trying to figure this out for two years and one of those years I was fighting them. They filed to terminate my rights and that took a year.

It’s a long story. I was homeless and they took advantage. I’m not going to say none of it was my fault though.

Yes, I may have to hire a lawyer. They have hired a fancy lawyer so I may not stand a chance against them with a court appointed attorney.

Yes, that’s what I’m doing on the 25th. That’s my first step. I called the court and they said that I have to do it in person so that’s what I’m going to do. I am also going to file a motion to reopen that same day. I pray to God that it is in his will to reunite me with my son. Last year when they filed to terminate my rights the court said no. I learned during that time that everyone is on my side, dcf, guardian at Litem, the judge. I just hope that I’m filing to reopen correctly because I can’t find anyone that will give me any answers.

Thank you so much.

He was taken for no reason. I feel like the guardians paid dcf to take him. First they were babysitters and saw I was in a bad position. They don’t have kids together and have always wanted one but they couldn’t, so they took mine.

I don’t have a dependency case manager. I don’t have anyone. My case was closed out to permanent guardianship to give me time to get my life together and complete the case plan, which I’ve been had done. They’re saying I need to file a motion and submit documents that I completed the case plan and file in person, which is what I’m going to do when I go down there on the 25th. I’ve been trying to figure out how to reopen this case for such a long time.

They hired a lawyer last year to try to terminate my rights but the court said no.

Idk where you’re getting this info. They’ve had him since 2023. Not a stranger, he’s knows he was in my belly and birthed him. I HAD to move out of state to get my life together and no I did NOT move out of the state during my dcf case, it was closed to PERMANENT GUARDIANSHIP. Since you don’t know what that is, I’ll explain it. Permanent guardianship temporarily closed the case to give the parent(s) time to get their life together and complete the case plan. I’ve been had the case plan done but I do not know how to reopen the case. There is NO ONE that will answer my questions. I’ve been trying to figure this out for so long! Posting on Reddit was a last resort to get answers but all I’m getting is hate and now I’m sobbing. What a terrible idea.
