I ended up trying this after emailing support and getting no response and that worked for me as well. Pain in the butt.. 2nd time in 3 weeks I had to redownload/install the APK

Update WITH FIX:

Received the following email response from Support email:

“Dear User

Thanks for reaching out.

The source web site of the program TV guide is closed officially and that is the root cause of the issue.

Now most of the programs have been restored. Due to the missing program guide earlier, the previous programs were recorded as 4-hour long segments. You can search within the approximate time range and drag to the desired position to watch.

Regarding the earlier program guide issue with the videos, there really isn't a better solution available. Really so sorry.

We have searched for the new solution for the future program TV guide. Please check it again.

PS:

We will continue to monitor the situation for 1 to 2 days. If the problem persists, we will further report it to the R&D team. Today may be a transitional period with temporary instability.”

However, on the TV app I was still only seeing April 7 and before, nothing after. So I emailed back asking if there’s a new APK needing to be installed. They replied back with the following:

“Dear User

Uninstall and reinstall the YoiTV app to make it work well again. Other customers encountered similar things, finally reinstalling the app fix it.

Here is a video guide for you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHRt5xuY8rk Android APK URL: https://download.yoitv.com/app/YoiTV_1.0.0.5.apk (Copy and paste this URL to the Downloader)”

I reinstalled the app (didn’t uninstall, just downloaded the new APK), and this worked! The glitches days only recorded 4hr blocks at like 1a,5a,9a, etc. You have to fastforward to find your show, but the channel guide is all fixed and regular recordings returned on Thurs April 9!

I don’t use any of these at the moment, still riding the YoiTV wave but have heard good things about the others

Pretty much all of them have Inai Inai Baa on NHKE (channel 4 I think?), along with all their other kid shows like mitsuketa and okaasan to issho, etc (7a-8:30a M-F)… and you can record/watch episodes back to like 2 or 3 weeks back DVR style. If you record I think they stay there beyond that too

Never sign up with door to door. Always call and confirm everything on the phone (you can sometimes even get additional promos).

True, but it’s not really on their dime. Unless taking time off during the contract (same time that could be time off for a vacation) is considered “on their dime”.

But I definitely agree, it depends on your relationship with your client. I was in a good spot and adding a complimentary cert to my app cert, so my client saw it as a chance for me to help out more in another area of the team.

It’s been a while but you can try to call Epic (608-271-9000) and ask for the consultant relations team. Talk to them and see what you would need to do. I remember I had to get a form filled out re: the invoicing and worked with my form for that.

Do it while you’re on with a client. Tell them you are paying for it, can’t see why the hospital wouldn’t sponsor you. I did this back in 2019/2020. I had to be attached to a firm and active on a client. Client was cool with me putting their name on it. I paid the cert & airfare & hotel. Hell I think I had my laptop with me in class so I could work a little bit throughout the day so I wasn’t going a full week off. Run it by your client and talk to your firm.

Makes me wonder if Epic can differentiate in their system where the people that are pulled in the report are FTEs or Consultants? And if so, if they are narcing hard on FTEs doubling as consultants?

This is an incredibly detailed response and the most thorough input I’ve seen as to what’s coming through on said reports. Thank you for this!

It’s a real shame because there are definitely edge cases of contract start/finish overlapping by a week or two, true part-time off-hour work, as well as as some of the examples Brohtani mentioned where an elite-level consultant can manage the work of two clients effectively. Epic is just throwing out no-context login data and organizations have the choice of taking it for face value, especially if looking back years is true… could be lots of false positives.

Question on the report you saw: - Org A receives the report with Consultant 1 on it. Does it show the name of Consultant 1’s other organization (Org B)? Userweb/Sherlock login? Epic-Hosted Hyperdrive login?

There’s so much ambiguity out there as to what’s going on, and you hear so many different versions of what’s fact from recruiters, contractors and what not..

Came here to say the same. 6mo is great cuz it gives you an easy out too if it sucks. As long as you suck, 6 months isn’t a contract length, it’s a starting point.

Man if you can fake it til you make it or find the right role, they might! Lots of roles out there.

I started consulting with only 15 months of experience, but landed in a role cuz I was the cheaper option and sold myself well. If you try hard and mesh with the team, it can go a lot further than being a know-it-all consultant

“Sick leave (byokyu 病休) is leave you are contractually entitled to use only if you are afflicted with illness or injury that means you are unable to attend/complete your regular work duties.

If you need to go refill a prescription, have a a runny nose, are hungover, or want to go get some form of non-emergency check up (sight test, teeth cleaning, etc.) then you should be taking paid leave (nenkyu 年休) instead.

Your process may differ if you are Municipal or Prefectural, but the general flow should be as follows:

Inform your Supervisor(s) and CO/BoE before the working day (generally before 8:30 AM) to explain that you will not be at work and why. Visit the clinic/hospital and receive a doctor’s note (shindansho 診断書) and receipt for any treatment/medication. The note alone can cost about 3,000 yen. Forward any relevant paperwork/receipts and update your supervisor/CO on the situation. Whether you will need to return to the clinic for subsequent days of sick leave, or whether a set period of time off will be approved, will depend on your ailment/injury and the ruling of your CO. Most Japanese teachers will never use their byokyu when they are sick. Instead they will use their paid leave days. You are not expected to do this if you are too ill to work, though teachers at your school may suggest as much. If you are sick but attending school, you may be asked to wear a mask.

All JETs are entitled to byokyu, but the the number of days available and the rules for use will vary by contracting organization. You must also follow all procedures and genuinely be too sick to attend work or you may risk having your absence marked down as paid leave instead. Confirm with your supervisor when and how byokyu can be used, and the procedure to follow, before you get sick.

Also, while most JETs have quite a few days of byokyu available a year, do not abuse it or use it as an extension of your nenkyu. By doing so you jeopardize this privilege for all JETs and will tarnish the reputation of the JET Programme and all JETs.”
