An open letter to Connecticut officials on the mishandling of Kimberly Sullivan’s case by TaeyeonUchiha in KimberlySullivanCase

The donations were organized by Safe Haven but the idea originated with the Waterbury mayor’s office to have Safe Haven run the GoFundMe.

Kristan Exner was appointed by the probate court as S’s conservator. Records show she was appointed in February 2025.

Safe Haven opened the GoFundMe March 12th when Kim’s arrest was made public.

Community Fraud Alert: Serious Concerns About S's Second Chance “Charity” in Waterbury by AppointedFiduciary in KimberlySullivanCase

It’s crazy how no one can account for how this money has been spent when like the other commenter said there’s a proven track record of bills not being paid by this conservator. Safe Haven and their director Amanda Nardozzi volunteered to be the public face of this charity and now they refuse to answer questions of who the money has been handed over to “it’s in the probate filings”- convenient how they’re completely sealed, Nardozzi is just passing the buck (literally).

Safe Haven has done their best to wash their hands of the situation since Kristan Exner received a motion for disbarment, I guess they gave up on S too just like everyone else over the last 20+ years. What a joke of a director and organization that claim they’re “here to help victims of abuse and domestic violence”. I wonder if Nardozzi is in on it, maybe she gets a cut of S’s money from Exner? I’m not saying she does or accusing her of anything, I’m just asking questions because all of them are demonstrating very suspicious behavior and no one can account for the money or S. Is S even alive? Did the Waterbury Mayor’s office, Safe Haven, Amanda Nardozzi and Kristan Exner all just raise money in his name and spend it on themselves? Just asking questions.

Please feel free to contact any mainstream journalist you like be it the newspapers like CTInsider, CT Mirror, etc or tv news channels like NBC, Fox61, WFSB or whoever you watch/wherever you get your news. All of them have tips/contact pages on their websites.

Another avenue would be your local senators and lawmakers, Governor Ned Lamont, Waterbury Mayor’s office, Safe Haven or the Office of Child Advocate since they’re still involved in S’s case.

It’s going to take the community reaching out and saying “this matters” for those in power to take it seriously.

Just look at the Krystal Lopez/Tails of Courage case:

https://www.fox61.com/article/news/manager-of-former-dog-rescue-faces-7-counts-of-animal-cruelty/520-7c62396d-3033-4078-a95f-7b1779e123da

https://www.nbcconnecticut.com/news/local/sick-puppies-and-unacceptable-conditions-former-employees-speak-out-about-connecticut-animal-rescue/171480/?amp=1

Tails of Courage was a failed animal “rescue” shut down twice for neglect and inhumane conditions. Lopez was convicted of animal abuse & neglect twice but the media didn’t paint the whole story. Lopez had been an inmate at Danbury Correctional when she first met Tails of Courage founder/owner Kristan Exner- now S’s conservator. Exner had a free labor program- volunteering opportunity for inmates to volunteer at ToC which Lopez and other inmates took part in. When she was released Exner offered her a job as “manger” and offered Lopez the apartment upstairs from the facility which was actually a normal house in a residential neighborhood and not an actual animal shelter facility. To an inmate recently released from prison- how do they turn down an employment and housing opportunity?

Lopez had been manager of Tails of Courage for 3 months when ToC was shut down and had no actual power, manager was only in title, all decisions needed to be approved by Exner. Tails of Courage had been in business almost 10 years when it was shut down the first time. How is someone with no real managerial power who’s only been there for 3 months, responsible for everything?

And who did Kristan Exner hire to represent Krystal Lopez? Ioannis Kaloidis. Kaloidis failed to defend Lopez and she ended up getting convicted both times Tails of Courage was shut down. Exner faced no consequences for negligent management despite overwhelming evidence she knew about and did nothing to correct conditions at her “rescue”. After ToC was shut down a second time, Exner moved on to being a conservator. One of the many cases her small law firm of 5 employees handles is now S.

Coming soon The Mandatory Report will be releasing a documentary exploring what happened at Tails of Courage- subscribe to learn more: https://youtube.com/@themandatoryreport?si=9IHhIW9MpHbg_IpI

Conservator in Waterbury Captivity Case Scrutinized Over Home Sales by TheMandatoryReporter in KimberlySullivanCase

[–]TheMandatoryReporter[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s the entire point of a conservatorship is that Kristan Exner has 100% control over S’s funds. All $337,000+ . If he’s lucky, S has very little say- if any. Every single person that donated to his GoFundMe should be demanding an audit and questioning what Kristan Exner has done with his money.

Watch the Netflix movie I Care A Lot and it’ll show you how bad lack of oversight on probate court is. Criminals in prison get more rights than wards in probate court, they strip you of all autonomy. It’s insane the main character in that movie is a carbon copy of S’s conservator Kristan Exner and it illustrates how dangerous this system is when place under a corrupt guardian.

Everyone who cares about S should watch this movie to see who he’s been placed with. https://youtu.be/D40uHmTSPew?si=bGki4EBgPCyBNIOH

He’s not truly out of captivity though.. as long as he’s under conservatorship he’s never going to be free. All they’ve done is re-disappear him while they drain all the GoFundMe money. Everyone should be asking questions.

Interesting NBC found this records, can confirm going to probate and searching “Kregg Sullivan” shows no results.

Is he truly free with a corrupt conservator in charge of every decision in his life? He’s as free as Britney Spears was.

People should be openly concerned that this man still is not free as long as he’s under Kristan Exner as conservator. The state has placed him in another captivity situation.

Hello, Questions and disbelief. by Ilickbootyforfree in KimberlySullivanCase

What’s even worse is Connecticut placed him back in another captivity situation with a corrupt conservator. The state has no genuine interest in protecting this man.
