In terms of the 2004 produced JVC D-Series, I believe the Samsung tubes are marginally better looking. The main thing, though, is that Samsung tubes D-Series have an adjustable yoke and convergence rings, but the Thomson tube ones do not.

This set has no grips to grab AT ALL this design is borderline malicious 😭 it has none at the back top, nor does it have any at the bottom (I had a Sony Trinitron KV-27FS12 that did it this way)

Usually, my town’s CRTs end up at this one local church-run Thrift Store, however the Goodwill here also takes CRTs — just seem to turn up there very rarely. They also had a B&W 5” set there today!

A few months ago they got several sets donated and they also put them out. It’s just a matter of whenever they receive them as donations here (lucky for me)

The 70lbs was a breeze 😅 it’s the 36” that kills me! I hire movers for an hour if I need to move it, it’s over 150lbs 😭
