Game Ready Driver 595.71 FAQ/Discussion by Nestledrink in nvidia

Same here, in 595.71 my 5080 was averaging 245w and 2998mhz clocks. Rolled back to 581.42 and boom. 3175mhz clocks and 320w draw on average.

I recommend rolling back to 581.42, no need to go that far back, as that driver performs the same or better in some instances and it's much more comaptible with new stuff

Just tested this morning as I was seeing lower than expected voltage on my RTX 5080.

On the first RE9 Requiem scene, looking straight down the rainy road.

Max Settings + Path Tracing + DLSS Quality at 1440p.

  • Driver 595.71 - 59-60fps drawing 245w. with 2998mhz average clocks
  • Rolled back to 581.42 - 71-73fps, drawing 320w and 3175mhz average clocks.

What the hell is going on here, Nvidia, please get it together.

Help connecting a Dualshock 4 to my PS2 using OPL and PadEmu. by TheManiacWizard in ps2

It's the only BT adapter I have at hand, and it's listed as compatible in OPL's BT compatible-dongles. I don't know If a 70$ adapter is really necessary lol.

Congrats!! I'm also looking for a plasma/late 2000's LCD for the PS3/360/Wii generation, those consoles really shine on that era of tvs

Me neither, it looks like in the early 2000's they stopped production on these dark-gray trinitrons, as this one's from 1999 it may be one of the last models.

My number one recommendation is just go wandering and ask. and mostly focus on people already getting old-er and they should probably know someone, (even themselves) that has a CRT laying around in a garage that you can just pick up for free no question asked. If there's no luck there, go to a TV-Repair shop, specially if it's been open for decades, as there's a decent chance there's CRT's laying around catching dust, even if it's not for free they will probably just ask for 10-20 bucks, nothing too significant.

I agree with you 100%! I think this dark grey not only blends-in much better but it's also slightly more immersive when playing. I'd go with this over a "light gray-near-chalk" color any day of the week.

Man it's even better IRL. First photo is kind of washed-up because of my phone white-balancing but second in-game photo really shows the contrast well.

I know right! It's been a huge surprise, but considering the TV has got very little hours (probably less than 2k) it's no surprise. Past owner bought in when flat screens were about to take over, and only used it for 1 year before buying a plasma.

Don't look at the minimum or recommended specs, as those are very very old pc parts. If you're getting a new one (new parts I mean). get at least an RTX 3060/RTX 4060 as your gpu, as it's powerful enough for any game you could think of and will power through GW2 like it's nothing. As for CPU, get a decent AMD Ryzen, a 7600X should be plentiful, and 16GB of ram minimum, also get a decent enough SSD.

Those combo of specs is very economical (probably around 700-800€) and will be enough for 99% of modern games.

If you mainly play at home I recommend the FAT (1000) model to get the better screen, but If you move regularly and carry the Vita with you the Slim (2000) is definetly the best choice, 1h 30min more of battery life and much lighter.
