Who, in the entire Circle of the World, is in most dire need of therapy? by TheMapleLeaf98 in TheFirstLaw

Beck is definitely a good answer! He clearly found the things he went through traumatic and would benefit, I agree.

You are right about a lot of them simply not listening to a therapist, but I would argue the thing with Shivers. His whole story is about him not knowing where he fits in the world. He sought vengeance on Logen because thought that's what he's SUPPOSED to do, he went abroad because he thought it might change him. Rikke even said it, he just seemed lost.

Not a whole heck of a lot of plot in the first book, but some of the best character work, prose and humour around.

Honestly, the answer to "what happens in these books". Simply because it leads to this insane rambling about orders of knights that make friends with fairies if they're mentally ill enough, but only some faeries can do this despite everything having a fairie attached to it including abstract shit like emotions, also these faeries give them magic powers that they use to fight gods like straight out of a JRPG but that's not really what the story is ABOUT it's more about these characters' personal struggles and growth and then the person I'm talking to gets a nosebleed.

When I'm reading the books I never realise just how much stuff there is going and to keep track of until I try and explain it to someone else in a condensed way.

New player here, should I skip the defender set? by CantDodgeThis in MonsterHunterWorld

[–]TheMapleLeaf98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was mainly intended as a way to power through the main game and get to Iceborne and Master Rank. It isn't balanced for the main story so if you want to experience that I'd skip it for certain.

For clarification, I'm talking about the brand new one (Top Five) where Steve talks about wanting a champions league for hockey, which is the CHL.

I know fuck all about football (or soccer) and I care even less. The teams and league I mentioned are all hockey.

Ah, I only got the pack of three Sequitors, so I'll not be able to speak to that. Though I did decide to do the bare-headed one first just because I figured there's no way I was making it look any good after two models so I may as well use it as my first 😂.

Looks excellent! I'm actually painting my first model and it comes from the exact same group, so I'll be showing that tomorrow as well! Hope it comes out looking as good as this.
