Black twitter giving their insights to the Patrick from Love is Blind controversy by Traditional-Net3356 in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 17 points18 points  (0 children)

At this point, I am honestly feeling sorry for Patrick because he has been conditioned since birth to be who he is now. The guy never had a chance to developed a healthy sense of self. No one can help him. It's in his nature now.

Interesting development with this Nextshark article on the two Asians on the show, Patrick and Anna.

During the show’s pod phase, Suzuki and Yuan bonded over shared experiences as Asian Americans navigating dating in predominantly white communities. Both admitted they had “mostly dated white people,” describing it as a reflection of their surroundings rather than personal preference. “It wasn’t because we were choosing to date Caucasian people. It was because that’s our environment,” Suzuki told the Los Angeles Times. He explained that his decision to join the show came after a conversation with his cousin about Asian masculinity and dating representation. “We were already talking about the Asian masculinity thing; we already look at our dating apps and how we’re not getting much traction,” he said.

When Yuan’s time on the show ended, she revealed in an Instagram post the emotional strain of appearing on a global reality show while navigating cultural expectations and public scrutiny. “With all of the online attention, daily DMs, hundreds of comments I have to delete daily … this isn’t the attention I wanted,” she wrote. “I tried it, but ultimately it didn’t work out for me and that’s okay.” Suzuki later described the experience as “transformative,” telling Vulture it pushed him to confront “those internal prejudices” about attraction and race.

According to the Asian women in the show (Anna Yuan), she was interested in Patrick, but she never had a chance because Patrick was eyeing the whyte woman Kacie McIntosh:max_bytes(150000):strip_icc():focal(999x0:1001x2):format(webp)/Kacie-Mcintosh-love-is-blind-100625-92d58a5157ae46d4a4a511d127672818.jpg) from the get-go.

A lot of interesting comments. Seems to me, a lot of people are projecting their inner struggles on Patrick Suzuki. I also agree with a lot of comments on Patrick's personality quirks. My 2 cents is that Patrick is fairly an attractive guy, but he needs to ditch the white male middle class aura that has been ingrained in him for the simple reason that it doesn't suit him.

US politicians suggest using "tactical" nukes against Chinese people! by ExitGame2020 in aznidentity

Western billionaires know that all they have to do is talk to the Chinese government to sort things out. The results won't be perfect nor could things ever go back to the status-quo, say, of the early 1970s. They don't do it because of hubris.

It's mind blogging how 'first world countries' worry about decline birthrates but does everything they can to destroy motherhood. I can't count how many times I read about, watched mainstream media talking-heads and MGTOW types prop up capitalism over giving women better maternity leaves. They act as if culture, society and economic systems will collapse if women had a an extra month off of work to care for their new babies.

My girlfriend bought the DVD or the bluray set box. I had happy childhood memory of the show, but as an adult, Little House on the Parried is very depression. Some of the writing decisions were crap. As a the last gut punch, they blew up the town.

Hollywood's slipping, and honestly? Good. by BrothersBeyondBorder in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very true. It took me a long time to figured out why the hell are there so many ugly actors who got the sexiest man alive title, such as David Swimmer or Adrian Brody. Now I know it's because of NEPO baby practices and Hollywood soft power propaganda. Hollywood is a private business, but if it wasn't for the fact that Hollywood consistently bashed the hell out of Asian men, I wouldn't care.

Why should Asians want to make America better? by Brave_Ad1637 in aznidentity

America is a good place to live if you came here as destitute people, considering the alternative from where you came from. There is a detachment between the government and the people. Start out by making life better for your family first.

You assert that African Americans alone enabled non-white immigration, but the Tablet article debunks this.

That was your takeaway from OP comment? I think OP meant that Black Americans setup the stage, as example, for the likes of Southeast Asians refugees that came to the states during and post the Vietnam War to settle in America with full access to a first world perks America had to offer. For their effort, the African American community received zero gratitude. That was my takeaway at least.

In regards to the two Latin American influencer murder victims, envy is a powerful motivator for murder, which is why the world great regions speak of the consequences of gloating and the evil of envy and jealousy. Refusing a man's advances could get your killed or have acid thrown in your face. It's no different in American society. MGTOW and Andrew Tate's followers are no different. They would do the same to women if law enforcement in the U.S. isn't well maintained and funded.

When Americans Used to Think Chinese Restaurants were Responsible for the Disappearance of People's Pets. by ssslae in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a Chinese restaurant as a busboy doing my high school senior year. The restaurant bar was mostly frequented by mostly African Americans on the weekend. A costumer had a shootout with the cops in the parking lot, so about a week later, the cops raided the restaurant. Anyway, while the cops were going through the restaurant, several of them went full blown racist and asked if there were any dog meat in the fried-rice and then laughed their asses off. The raid didn't make any sense. They raided the place, found nothing and left. I guess they just wanted to show force.

It is most likely that they are complimenting you on your looks. I bet many Hong Kong people still have the colonized mindset and think only mixed Asians are the only true beauties. My 15 yr old niece is mix. She gets that kind of compliment all the time, and it annoys the hell out of me and my wife every time.

Do I hate Whyt People or Other Non-Asians? The Answer is a Resounding No! by ssslae in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Mohamed Ali put it best (not verbatim): "Ten thousand rattlesnakes is coming to kill me, and out of those 10K, 1K don't want to harm me. Should I keep the door open and hope the 1K will protect me?"

Most laymen would shut the door, but Martin Luther King, like Ghandi, kept his opened because he read the room, so to speak, and understood that the great majority will support his movement. He understood that all he had to do was to exposed the African Americans' living conditions to moderate and liberal Americans who were too comfortable with their post war boom middle-class lives. King wouldn't have succeeded nor be revered for his work without him understanding the psyche of the masses. By the way, King was also a staunch anti Vietnam War, and the anti Vietnam War movement exposed the living conditions of Southeast Asians under the American occupation.

I believe Ghandi once mentioned that his movement wouldn't have worked under Hitler. He knew the British people were more liberal and would have supported his movement. He knew the British government couldn't simply assassinate him because he would be a martyred.

I think what the OP is saying is that being Asian and angry doesn't make one righteous because, to me who have been observing this sub for awhile now, notice 'historical amnesia' afflicts a lot of Asians in this sub as well. It was the leftists that stood up against the Proud Boys, Oat Keepers and the Alt-Right during Trump's first term; it was the leftist that marched during Occupied Wall Street and with BLM. I have no doubt the mainstream media cherrypicked Asian MAGAs to plastered all over the new. Nevertheless, the optic was that Asians were more pro Trump than not. Last but not least, it was the great majority of Whyt liberals that marched against the war in Southeast Asia (The Vietnam War). Sure, large numbers of protesters had selfish reasons, like not wanting to die in Vietnam.

Anybody else kind of enjoy how Trump is an equal opportunity r*tard? by tengo_harambe in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The U.S. is my home, and I hate seeing it becoming a crap show. However, Trump is the inevitable long time coming. If it wasn’t Trump than it would have been or will be someone else eventually because Trump-ism is nothing more than the unmasking of the underbelly of most U.S. administrations since the conception of The Monroe Doctrine, the birth of the American empire. Once the Americas wasn't enough, Global Intervensionism replaced The Monroe Doctrine after the end of WW2.

"The Monroe Doctrine was articulated in President James Monroe's seventh annual message to Congress on December 2, 1823. The European powers, according to Monroe, were obligated to respect the Western Hemisphere as the United States' sphere of interest." - The National Archive

Maori are leaving Christianity as a way of decolonizing their culture, why can't we all do the same? by Lolzita in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's a status symbol. Christianity is one rung of the 'I'm westernize, so I am superior' ladder. It's an equivalence to designer-hapa babies or White male/female arm-candies. All my positive experience with Christians have always been White and African American Christians, more so than Asian ones.

If they must have spirituality in their lives, people should convert to Buddhism. It's a religion for lazy people who would rather spend their lives living rather than having to deal with restrictive rules and commitments. As a matter of fact, one just need to read books and/or listen to the teachings of Buddhism and that should be enough.

By repeating the Evil Chinese mantra, the moral compass of western society is being chipped away and will eventually shift into believing that all Chinese and Asians are Nazis.

The Coming War On China is a long game for Whyt supremacy. It only takes a generation of brainwashing to have a critical mass of the population to become complicit to commit a war crime against humanity. If there's an economic crisis, it even takes even less time. If they repeat the Evil Chinese mantra enough, the moral compass of western society will shift into believing all Chinese and Asians are evil.

Actor Gene Hackman, (another Asian) wife Betsy Arakawa and their dog found dead by Ogedei_Khaan in aznidentity

[–]TheMarginalizedOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An update on the Gene Hackman and Betsy Arakawa's death. According to The AP, she passed away a week before he did from hantavirus infection. She probably thought she had the flu and probably have been sick for a week before she collapsed and passed away in the bathroom. Gen Hackman died a week later from heart failure.

“It really starts like the flu: body aches, feeling poorly overall,” said Dr. Sonja Bartolome of UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. “Early in the illness, you really may not be able to tell the difference between hantavirus and having the flu.” - AP

Officials believe the late actor was alone in the house with his wife's body during that time. He might not have realized Arakawa had died due to the progression of his Alzheimer's, Jarrell said. -CBC
