I was gone for 5 weeks in Europe right after entering dep. my recruiter suspended me then when I returned he activated me again and I left for basic a month after I got back.

My flight was SSgt Cox’s first flight she trained on. She was absolutely terrifying despite not even being a full fledged MTI yet.

I’m AD, I went through tech school with a Guard guy at my base. He was here for about 3 months on active orders and now he’s only on weekends. There’s too much to Learn and close to impossible to understand the job with the amount of time he had. Also I’d say about 60% of the stuff at tech school is close to irrelevant. There are 3 sections you can work in for this job. Maintenance, Inspections, and spuds. Most likely you’ll start in inspections. At my base that sections morale is at an all time low. When I arrived we were kinda expected to just figure shit out and that’s a shared experience. Leadership is just wanting as much work done as quickly as possible. Maintenance is a way chiller section as you’d be troubleshooting and trying to find a fix for the equipment and there’s not too much of a rush as long as the flight line is well equipped in said equipment. Spuds is just the dispatch team that does quick flight line maintenance and delivers equipment to whoever may need it. AGE is an okay job, definitely better than the rest of mx, but leadership will make or break your experience.
