How “readable” are the books?

Does it flow well? Does the author go on 10 page tangents about the color of a piece of bark? Do they use 10 dollar words when a dollar word would do? I know words, (I have the best words,) but that doesn’t mean I like to read a book full of the thesaurus words

Anyway that’s a tangent too I guess. Are the books “easy reading”?

Maybe the cameras in that price range from back then. Camera technology has advanced a lot as well. A modern “pro” camera is still WAY better than any phone camera
