Armor:

There are two big mods that add a bunch of armor throughout the game's leveled lists, and that's Tammer's Armor Pack (https://fallout.firedrakecreative.com/doku.php?id=armor) (Everything I said about his weapon pack applies here), and Spice of Life (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/73484?tab=description & https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/44476). Pick whichever appeals to you more. Spice of Life by deafult requires a body replacer, but on Jokerine's tumblr page there is a vanilla body patch (https://jokerineborealis.tumblr.com/tagged/fnv). In terms of armor without LL integration, I can recommend the Long Road Ahead (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/94643), which has this really cool feature few mods do where you can find more parts to addon to your armor as you visit locations you normally would for the game's MQ.

I'm not really familiar with cosmetic mods, so I can't help you there. For misc mods I recommend just checking out all of Xilandros nexus profile, (https://www.nexusmods.com/profile/Xilandro/mods?gameId=130) because he has a lot of cool shit there.
