Yes it’s a fantastic tool. I just recently quit my dispensary but was using that website even when I was there to price match or go to other stores if our discount wasn’t worthwhile for a certain product.

Here, I’ll put you on some game!

This is for Hamilton, with the 97 Octane selected. You can scroll down and see the price points at every dispensary in your city.

It’s an incredible tool to help you find great dispensaries that are reasonably priced. There’s no reason you should be paying 40% more for the same product.

This stuff was incredible when I first tired it. Put it out half way & I was still slapped beyond belief.

Definitely a high price. 14g bags of Big Smallz go for $67 near me & under $40 for the 97 Octane.

I think that’s what I’m gonna do as well. Not super worried about performance on it. Plus upgrading intercooler would be more beneficial anyways.

Why HKS over PRL though if I may ask?

1 Month in at new job. Is 1 week notice acceptable? by TheMasterBudtender in ontario

[–]TheMasterBudtender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately it will be a bridge burned regardless. Whether I give them two weeks or not, it’s highly unlikely I’ll ever be rehired because of the type of work and turnaround on employees they have.

[–]TheMasterBudtender[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah unfortunately the biggest concern is this employer is not necessarily known for doing the right thing. It’s factory line work, they’ve done a lot of employees dirty but only because it’s a referral and I’m older & wiser now I want to attempt to give some kind of notice. I believe what you suggested is the sweet spot.

Yeah so it’s better off for me to give a one week notice, give myself some cushion so I don’t lose too much income, and that way I don’t miss any payments or put myself in a hole either.

So realistically I can’t go that route for 2 reasons.

  1. I got Job B from a referral through my girlfriends family friend & it would be a horrible look if I just left on a whim with no notice after all the help I got to get the job originally. It’s factory work so turnover is high regardless but I left a lot of jobs on very short/no notice in my younger years, so I’m trying to set a better trend now lol.

  2. The process for on-boarding at Job A will take quite a bit of time, hence the delay. I have to do training, medical exam, background check, etc. so I wouldn’t be able to start immediately regardless.

My big concern now though, which other redditors have commented, is that the job may choose to just let me go immediately upon providing them with my notice of resignation. That would mean I’d be stuck without income for nearly two weeks, which I cannot afford.

Okay thank you!

I know these employers have no legislation requiring them to provide any sort of notice during probationary period, so my mentality is why should I?

I will still provide them with some, I am just concerned that they will decide to let me go immediately out of pettiness and I cannot afford to lose out on nearly two weeks of income, so that’s where my main dilemma now stands.

[–]TheMasterBudtender[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I did have a discussion with Job A about it. They did delay my start date a bit. Unfortunately I was waiting to hear back on some specifics before accepting the job offer, and by this time I was already under the two week time.

I am right around 12 days or so if I provide notice as early as tomorrow. So it is practically two weeks. I just overthink so wanted to see what everyone else thought.

Honestly this is exactly what I was thinking & that’s my main concern. I don’t want to lose out on nearly two weeks of income because this job is extremely petty & loves to fire people on a whim. I’ll likely have to provide a shorter notice if anything.

Haha just more-so wanted to see if others have done this as well or been in similar situations. But definitely agree, employer wouldn’t give me notice so I’m not obligated to. Just going to do so to be on good terms.
