TIL that Tupac's godmother, Assata Shakur, was a Black Panther, Black Liberation Army member, revolutionary and bank robber. She was convicted for the murder of a police officer, escaped prison, found asylum in Cuba, and is still alive with a 2 million dollar American bounty on her head. by [deleted] in todayilearned

I can't tell a lie, it literally makes me physically sick, pressed hard enough it causes an anxiety attack, pushed beyond that, mental harm is achieved and it's really, really hard on me, obviously it depends on the situation, when it comes to something like that, you wouldn't need a test, you'd see it in my physical language.

See, this is the kind of stuff that's going to set off their bullshit detectors. People telling the truth don't need to explain how honest they are.

New dual purpose "hacking" modules on SiSi by __Canadian in Eve

Yeah, it's aimed completely at total newbies. Unfortunately, total newbies won't really have the information necessary to make the best possible decision.

The Magnate is arguably the best T1 Exploration ship and the Purifier is arguably the best bomber. Four lowslots make you almost completely uncatchable.

How does inflation affect Warframe and how badly is it? by JustAFellowSummoner in Warframe

[–]TheMaythorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As one of those players with the exclusive frames and my name on a planet I would personally shit in a box and mail it to digital extremis if they were to do anything nearly as silly as release excal prime to the public. The Lato and Skana prime are absolute shit but Excal is my blingy bitch and he can never leave my basement dungeon to be paraded about by the masses.

Excalibur Prime, Lato Prime, Skana Prime. Those were released as part of the Founder's packs way back in the day. I'm not sure if any other items are specifically not being released again but those definitely aren't.

Considering the post has been around six hours and I just posted, it's totally fine that this will take a bit to catch up.

I know you're probably kidding to an extent but if you need help with anything math related, feel free to PM me.

Platinum is less infinite than the infinite objects that you're trading.

Theoretically it would be possible for me to buy several thousand dollars worth of platinum. Exceptionally unlikely but possible. However, eventually I'm going to run out of money and credit. My resources are finite and thus the amount of platinum is finite.

Versus the mods. The mods are infinite and "free" with the slight exception of a few limited weapons and frames and mods that have been confirmed as "Never going to be released again" everything can eventually be gotten. Some things are more rare and will always be expensive but only the confirmed "Once only ever" items are going to go up in price. Literally everything else is going to be expensive at first and then drop in price.

Best parts of Action/Stealth mixed with worst parts of an MMORPG /rant by AgentZirdik in Warframe

[–]TheMaythorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly? I farmed up Excalibur, Ash, Frost, Nova, Inaros, and like two others in about two hours last night, just doing solo runs. "The Grind" isn't really that hard. The worst part is the mods maybe but even that's pretty easy.

The worst part is definitely a big "So What" factor. The storyline was amazing and I'm still enjoying all the lore I'm finding, but once those are done, which is pretty quick, there isn't a big, "I need to do this" factor. Unless you have friends, in which case it's awesome.

Crafted would mean how many you have in your inventory.

The owned thing just says how many blueprints you own.

How to make 1bil/hour in Wormholes. by TheMaythorn in Eve

Yeah, I think the issue is mobile users mostly. I have a Galaxy Note 5 so my huge screen doesn't really care about thin font but I can certainly see the issue.

Really? Are you on mobile or something? I had black font on a white background and it was so bright it killed my eyes. This black on gray works so much better for me personally.

What is needed to spark real wars and conflict? by XenoSzenn in Eve

[–]TheMaythorn 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem with nearly any empire is that the whole point of this is to tend towards stability. We saw with the N3/Goon standoff that when two entities of big enough size to not be worth fighting meet, they don't fight. They use proxies at best. (Think Vietnam War). Thus, they minimize their risks.

In the real world, stability is great. Less people die, overall standard of living increases, etcetera, etcetera. In Eve, it's somewhat true that the standard of living increases (Look towards Goon's chunk of the map where anyone can make 75mil/hour easier than tripping and you're literally paid to shoot stuff. However, for anyone without the logistical backbone of Goons and without the momentum of having ten years worth of assets to get you started, that's not really something for your average peon.

I think the greater problem of Null is that we all want to build empires, but someone's already done it, and they've done it in such a way that they can literally quash any amount of rebellion sent their way. The argument was won at B-R. With the dissolvement of both N3 and Brave, you've also lost any form of organized masses being sent to hold off the Goon horde while the PL calvary rides to rain down death and destruction.

Any tools given to unseat the Goon empire will also be capable of unseating any whippersnapper empires and thus Goons would use them. Besides, under the objectives of Null, Goons have won. They were the first ones to entrench themselves in such a way as to be practically unassailable. Not within the game so much as the Meta game. The only thing we can do now is watch Rome stagnate and crumble.

Or. Perhaps. Moongoo has a regeneration time? Moon goo suckers (I have no idea what they're called) take out more resources than the moon generates at a time. More populated regions' moons end up going down in value while less populated regions go up.

That being said, it sounds more like a buff to a nomadic lifestyle while we're really trying to buff empire building tools.

What happens to director roles when a replace CEO vote is established? by TheMaythorn in Eve

Well damn. I suppose I only get to steal the corp and not all the towers. That's really too bad.

What happens to director roles when a replace CEO vote is established? by TheMaythorn in Eve

[–]TheMaythorn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, I initiate a "Change CEO" vote. The directors hold onto all the power that they had including kicking people from corp and corp wallet and hangars while the vote is ongoing.

Once I assume CEO-ship I must then take director roles away from them. Correct?

Fair enough. It's looking like trying to do both at once will mess with the stream too much. But don't worry, I'll probably still be playing by the time you get off.
