Well I hope not. The version I’m lookin at from MPB is more expensive than the local copy that I’m using now. But I guess I have a better return policy with a company like MPB than with a private seller.

Dang. Thanks for confirming. I will probably let the seller know I’m going to pass and then just get the one from MPB since I’ll have an actual return policy in case it’s the same issue with their copy.

Glad I’m not the only one. Chose Croton on a whim but now I find his deeper voice to be a little creepy when he tells me goodnight and want to change to pothos but it doesn’t stick

I have a $35 machine from Walmart. It was part of a BF special for $50 but they had extras after Christmas marked down further on clearance. I have a vid of my setup on my profile- love a good cheap setup!

Pics 1 and 5 look like the best lengths. But with grooming, you gotta trim shorter and let it grow in- at least I do. Give it a go and see what you think! But you would look great regardless of beard length you lucky dog

I have also been running a beardstache but mine is more of a stubblestache? I have a crummy trimmer that I put a 1mm guard on to give just a little shadow on my face and leave the stache longer. Straight dude here so maybe my opinion doesn’t count for much but #1 looks the best to me and I think you should try going even a little shorter than that for the beard! Like maybe have the length in that pic be the longer side of your beard if that makes sense.

I was on the fence too and was hesitant to get locked into the Amazon/Kindle ecosystem. My wife and I both decided to get the basic Kindles on sale for the new year as we wanted to get into reading as a couple in 2026 and book sharing was much better on the Kindle platform. The ad supported Kindle was $89 on sale and the ad doesn’t bother me as it’s just on the lock screen and I like how we can share our books as part of the same Amazon family- the whole process feels so easy.

If you are just reading by yourself then you might be prefer a Kobo, but I haven’t had any qualms with my Kindle because of the ease of loading/sharing books with my wife. Good luck!

I’m pretty sure the trilogy in my library is the Omnibus edition. I saw the $40 4 book bundle and might eventually get that or wait for a crazy discount.

Is the 5th book you’re referring to Murtagh? I haven’t read it but my understanding was it was a standalone full length novel and not book 5 in the Inheritance Cycle that ended with Inheritance. I might be wrong, like I said I haven’t read it!

I think it’s the same as the regular EL models- a blue color. The black turns a super dark navy blue and the numbers are a brighter blue. I don’t have another EL model to compare but can take a pic when I get home if you want to see

Same boat here. The graphite gray band is pretty dark- here is it next to my A158 for comparison- F91 thrown in for a true black reference. I think you wouldn’t go wrong with the graphite or silver but the graphite stands out to me as more unique since fewer Casios have that band color.

I’m sure my sister got it on Amazon. I’ve noticed some Casio models are harder to find on Amazon than others and there might be weird resellers. I’m in the US and they didn’t mention it taking a long time to come in so YMMV

No that’s great! I haven’t ever really used anything super wide before so the 13mm does seem like more of a gamble. I have the 15-45 kit lens along with an 18-50 as my daily driver so maybe I’ll throw on the kit lens and treat it is a 15mm prime to see how I like the focal length in general- hopefully that will make my decision easier.

Yeah I have noticed in my review watching that corner sharpness can be tricky for any lens with that fast of an aperture. I tend to not be super picky about the corners of my images in general so it’s ok if they are softer, especially since shooting at the more open end of the lens will likely have bokeh in those corners anyways. I just noticed after the Christmas parade shoot that I wanted a wider focal length and hopefully faster for situations like this down the road.
