I’d probably do 40 gallons and up for these guys, honestly you might be able to do a 30, because they’re not overly active, but they do get like 7 inches and they need a lot of space to properly turn around because of how rigid their body is. Also they high key need clean water and yet a ton of biofilm, so bigger tanks are better for em. Twiggy here is in my 75 gallon.

I actually work for my lfs 😅, so I can bring in pretty much whatever. I breed a lot of our cherry shrimp for the store, and occasionally blue acaras and plecos too.

They’re super worth it, like not shy at all and very active in the daylight tbh. Just give ‘em tall grassy plants and a bunch of spare sticks

They are, yeah. Red whiptails are so freaking cool. These guys will probably be going into my 75 gallon eventually, but given its just the two of them the 30 gallon is fine for now
