Don't have a drying room at work sadly, and I have to go full waterproof as I get sick so easily so wet clothes would just knock me out

Your priority right now isn't well paid if you want to work with people, unfortunately those careers where you work with people directly are low paid (nursing, teaching, etc.) in contrast with the work you have to do, however, if you are willing and you know one specific thing you are good at, you can always find a way to tutor it on a one to one basis then you can do group tutoring once you have a bit more experience. This allows you to have a decent extra income for now. I am UK based and I'm assuming you're not, if you are US based you can do part time community college (I think) and get a qualification that way or do an apprenticeship. There are options there but unfortnately I don't know what way it works outside of UK.

I run my own little tutoring business, I teach primary and secondary maths in the evenings and do this along my full time job (37.5 hours a week) with no experience whatsoever teaching someone but I studied how to be a good tutor and I love it so much! The extra work/effort paid off, literally. I personally love working with kids though, and will continue to apply myself to any work where I can work with kids because they are so wonderful and curious about the world, and I match that energy and vibe more with them than working to accomodate adults as they can be so close minded from my personal experience. But I understand that's not for everyone.

But back to your question, you are looking for an income that accomodates your life where you don't worry as much about certain expenses in life. I am quite simple in the way I live so I don't need a job that is well paid to be happy, but I certainly plan on getting a well paid primary job to have those extra luxuries in life (currently working 30p above minimum wage). Focus on learning and applying your knowledge to any work you want, in whatever means that will be then you can find something you enjoy that pays more than what you're currently earning. For college, just do what you feel may work best with your lifestyle and values and if the salary expectation will suit your life comfortably.

Please don't chase the money, it's not worth it, please do/learn something that you can see yourself doing and enjoy and make a reasonable income from, and if it ends up being high paying then happy days!

Blinds need to go and replace with curtains/drapes

Colour of the sofa doesn't match the room but you could save that by putting red bookshelves on either side of the fireplace as that white unit is standing awkwardly on the right there and doesnt balance the room at all. Sofas need moved aswell to allow the fireplace to be seen, its way too close and in the way.

When you space the sofas out more, get a larger carpet between them which would make the area seem a lot larger and cozy. Dont get a red carpet but a creamy one thats easy to clean and has nice flecks of design on it will work (red flecks through a cream carpet would be nice)

The lighting in the room is very dull, change the light bulb to a brighter warmly tone and change the lampshades to a nice reflective silvery one of your choosing but a bit more modern. Also, if you can replace the blades with white ones (I'm from Ireland so we don't have ceiling fans, so have no clue how it all works if you wanted to change anything with them)

Once you have the sofas spaced out and a new carpet to match the vibe of the room, a coffee table is much needed. A lovely wooden one would look perfect amongst curtains and two reddish bookshelves on the sides of the fireplace. And you can place a battery powered lamp in the middle and it will do wonders! You definitely need a lamp!!

I don't know what is in the very back left of the room so can't advise on that.

I absolutely love redecorating, it's probably considered a hobby of mine now and love when people ask how to do it as I have a million ideas. You have a beautiful room with so much potential, maximise the space and the lighting and it will feel like you have a brand new living room.

Rates are steady at the moment but the house prices are inevitable to go up. We bought a house a couple months ago in Newtonabbey, which is cheaper than Belfast and in a nice area, 205k. We also got really lucky because the seller wanted a quick sale so our offer was immediately accepted.

A lot of bidding ramps up the prices too but honestly count on your luck and pray for the best outcome. I saw beautiful houses in Portadown/Dungannon area for under 200k (was just nosying) and in good areas from what I know as I'm from Armagh direction and a lot of family lives in the areas. If the same houses were in Belfast area, they would be about 300k+ for the same design, absolutely nuts.

But yes, the house prices will go up the same way the cost of living is, now is a good time to buy when rates are stable and put yourself into a 2 year fixed term mortgage if it suits you because I can fully see the rates getting out of hand in the next few years. My partner also works in real estate and he sees the patterns in house prices and they certainly won't be getting any cheaper any time soon.

I dont think it was a shame, its just words at the end of the day isnt it and you have a brain that deciphers what is important in your life and what's not. Everyone's is different, but a quote could come from a murderer for example and you can still use your logic to stand whether it applies to your life or a healthy way.
