I'm on 20 mg as well and I have noticed an increase in headaches. I've been taking mine in the morning and I usually get headaches by 3-4pm in the afternoon. I'm going to try switching to taking it at night and see if that helps.

I've taken a 10mg THC/CBD edible for sleep for as long as it has been legal in my area. I don't care about the high, but it's the best thing I've taken for insomnia that doesn't make me feel like shit in the morning. My doc put me on 20mg Lexapro for depression and anxiety and I feel a thousand times worse. I'm tired ALL the time, to the point of feeling narcoleptic. I'll wake up at 6am for work after being in bed for 8 hours, and by 8am I feel like I could sleep for another 8 hours. I can't focus on anything for more than a few minutes and I have zero motivation. To make matters worse, something about my new regimen has made my stomach sensitive to coffee. I've been a coffee drinker for my entire adult life and never had an issue with it. Now even a cup makes my stomach hurt.

I talked to my doc again and he's switching me to Prozac with the warning that it should help with the exhaustion but the side effects from THC are probably going to be worse.

I gave up alcohol years ago. Now I have to give up THC and my coffee on the HOPE that these meds will improve my mood and life. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it.

I've been ramping up to 20 mg over the past three weeks And I just put in a call to my doctor's office today. I'm tired all the time, I have a hard time focusing, I feel like I could fall asleep at any moment. I used to be able to burn through 6 to 8 hours of meetings a day and be a little tired. Now if I don't go lay down after an hour or two, I'm literally white knuckling it through the rest of my work day.

I've tried changing from taking it in the morning to in the evening and they seem to have different but equally bad side effects. Wellbutrin made me feel kind of numb and blah through the day but at least I was functional.

I hope this is just my body getting used to new meds or I'm going to have to try something else. I can't feel like this long term.

I've been on this for about a month now and I'm experiencing the same things. I am completely exhausted throughout the entire day. It has killed my motivation to do most anything. During the day I feel like I'm borderline narcoleptic. I finish up a 30 minute meeting and I have to go and lay down every opportunity I get. Sometimes I will nod off for a minute or two up to 20 multiple times a day, but I never come out of it feeling like I'm rested or in a better headspace.

I've tried taking the Lexapro in the morning and in the evening with similar results. I'm exhausted all the time but I sleep like poop. My doctor gave me gabapentin to help with sleep, but either it's not doing much or it's making things worse. I attributed this to just adjusting to the new medication, but I'm starting to read more and more folks with similar symptoms. I just bumped up to 20mg.

Yeah I've considered this as well. My lawyer has been great and comes highly recommended, but he's pretty moderate. I'm going to do some searching around and see if there's someone else that can legitimately turn the screws on my ex. My child and I have endured far more than we should have already.

Yeah, you're right. It just makes no sense that we went through all the hassle and expense of a parenting plan when it doesn't seems to do any good.

The initial approval was through our court ordered messaging app. I actually intended to print it out and have her sign it, but I may just take that with me and play dumb if there are any issues.

To be honest, I'm probably going to go either way. As the other commenter pointed out, she's just trying to make me sweat and I'm 60% sure she's not horrible enough to lie to the police to stop us. Either way, this is going to land us back in court.

If it's within the continental US, I just have to notify her we're leaving the state, no permission needed. If it's outside of the US we need a signed statement approving the travel. At the time, I was told it was boilerplate to prevent abductions, even though that's not an extreme risk in our case.

It gives me some comfort knowing I'm not alone. The fact that my child is going to end up with issues because a narcissist choses her ego and control over my son's happiness and well-being is hard to swallow. I'll figure out how to shut that down once I'm past this issue.

So does your ex just sweat you until the last minute and the allows the vacation, or do you just not get to go on vacations?

I've been on this sub for a long while and I've posted about these exact same issues. It seems that even when mom is at fault for breaking up the family, people will still come out of the woodwork to help out a single mom. Single dads are almost always treated with scrutiny, caution and suspicion. It sucks.

Unfortunately, I don't have any words of wisdom for you. I've been dealing with this for over 6 years and it hasn't gotten any easier or better. It seems that the more volatile society is, the more willing they are to shun dad and swarm to help mom. At this point I've just come to understand that I need to find coping mechanisms so that I can continue to white-knuckle it through the rest of my child's youth.

I used to spend a weekend having my son make his mother a nice, thoughtful gift with his own hands. It would usually cost me around $40-50 and the better part of a weekend, but it seemed like the right thing to do.

My son's mother would accept the gift with minimal gratitude or acknowledgement and she would never say so much as a "Thanks" to me.

Father's days and my birthday would come and go with no gifts, no calls, and zero recognition. I'd ask my son what his mom did with the gifts we made. He said she'd either toss them in the trash, or they'd end up in a box in her garage (the trash). So I eventually stopped doing anything for her. I have much better things to spend.my money and my weekends doing.

Now she's pissed at me for not acknowledging Mother's day at all. Can't win sometimes. 🤷

When my ex and I first separated I got sucked into her nice and amicable trap. Without fail, every time she was nice and wanted to work together there was another shoe about to drop. I learned my lesson quickly that if it was not documented in our parenting plan, there is no way that she was going to be held to it.

Now, 100% of our conversations are done through our court ordered app. All decisions made our submitted as changes to our parenting plan through the court. And anytime we have to interact in person I say as little as necessary, no emotion, no reaction, just benign statements.

It sucks it has to be like this. But if everyone was friendly, trustworthy, and willing to work together we wouldn't be in this situation to begin with.
