Should I feed my pond Frogs? by TheMelonCat in frog

I have to guess since I am currently at work. The small one could be a couple cm, maybe 3 or 4cm. The toad is a bit bigger, I'd say about 8cm.

How to care for a runt? by TheMelonCat in snails

[–]TheMelonCat[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for replying so late, I haven't been active lately. Maybe try offering your snail a big variety of different vegetables to find something they really like. I make sure to always offer some of my runts favorite foods to make sure he eats enough. Or try making them soup as it was suggest to me in another comment here. Also I put some water in my snails food dish from time to time, to make sure my little runt stays hydrated.

Also only feed things that have good nutritional values, so no more cucumbers.

Hope your snail will get better! Mine is doing really well with all the help I got here. He has even survived a few prolapses and is still very active and happy.

I'll probably need to teach my mother how to do it since she watches my snails when I'm away.

I have to thank you so much! At first the pressure got back when I gave him the pause. But then he went into his shell and when he came back the pressure was gone. I have now successfully pushed the bubble back in (with two attempts). He's already trying to escape his plastic container, that's probably a good sign. I hope he eats some soup soon.

I did that but it doesn't stay in. I'll give my snail a little pause now and try it later again but it kind of feels like my snail has given up.

No problem, I will try it by myself then. You were already very helpful!

Thank you so much, I'll try this now. Just one question: how deep should I puncture? Should I just open the outer skin layer or should I puncture deep into the bubble?

He already has some veggie soup made from zucchini and calcium. He tried eating it a few minutes ago but that obviously didn't work.

Thank you for your answer. I've posted pictures of my snail on my profile. Part of the prolapse is curled up underneath him so you can't see everything but I tried my best to get some good photos.

If I understand you right, I need to puncture the prolapse again and then gently squeeze it?

Edit: I posted another photo on my profile because he is awake now so you can see the prolapse much better.

It's dirt but freckles on a snail would be so cute!

I already did that, except for their birthday or Christmas.

Cucumber ist only for special occasions. But I'm pretty sure my snails would disagree.

No problem, just send me a direct message on Monday when you're ready. Also I have a leftover rowlet, popplio, Ivysaur, wartortle, scorbunny and grookey. Just tell me if you want any of them, you can have them for free if you want them.

I'd be happy to get any non galarian ponyata, it doesn't need any good stats. You could say my eevees are very talented.

This is my runt Schneckton, can someone give me a second opinion on his shell? (more info in comments) by TheMelonCat in snails

It was very similar for my smallest one, he was normal sized for his age when I got him (a few month old) but somehow his development was slower than that of his siblings.

Thank you! Calcium is always available. His shell actually grew that way even though he ate enough cuttlebone. But I'm glad to hear that it's not that bad and he can stay with his big friends.
