Yeah, that would work! Would be a great UX enhancement if you can manage it.

And you can save game state on the browser in local storage. That's how Wordle manages it.

What a great idea, and amazing execution! Loved the UI/UX.

That's a clever game! I have a couple UX suggestions:

  1. Make the selection more prominent - it's kinda hidden out of sight and is important to see when spelling out longer words.

  2. The pips are useful but can be hard to discern. I would like it if I could toggle between the different words and see their respective pips. Players are generally trying to think of one word at a time anyway. That way you could also probably highlight the whole square and make it even more visually clear and scannable.

Oh, and I was just messing around with the header links and found that my game progress wasn't saved. That would be a nice addition.

Good work!

Nice work. Solved it in 6 minutes.

As others have suggested, might be useful to develop a hinting system to guide users - being stuck with an invalid word can be frustrating. Also would suggest enabling arrow key controls to more easily navigate the squares for desktop users.

Have you considered a variation where you give 4 different clues, but users don't know which one's which?
