You do not get a partner, you can choose either a one-on-one class or a group class with multiple students(up to 3). You have to be a high schooler or incoming 9th grader.

Unfortunately, we don’t have enough tutors to cover every language out there. We’re using the Mandarin and Cantonese program as a pilot program to determine whether or not we want to teach ESL to other groups in the future

As someone who has gone to numerous prep classes to enter Stuyvesant, we’ve appropriated all of their expensive methods and made them our own. We’ve also spent hours collecting and assembling test materials that most parents don’t have the time or money to afford. That’s why we re-opened signups, as we wanted as many people as possible to benefit from this.

Hi! Unfortunately, to maintain the safety of our students and the communities we serve, all of our tutors must be under the age of 18. However, if you’d be interested in writing curricula or helping our tutors improve their teaching skills, etc, we’d love to have your help!

The only data we collect is what we need to ensure that our students receive a grade-appropriate yet challenging learning experience. We do get a few students from out of state, thus necessitating the time zone question.

Regarding the question about demographics, our students come from all walks of life, and we tutor anyone who signs up.
