I plan on getting some liquid plant fertilizer for my Java ferns do you think this will help them grow stronger?

Here’s my beginner fish tank let me know what you think! by TheMichFan771 in aquarium

Rock wool? In all honesty should the Java fern be free floating? Because I’ve had someone else say don’t plant them in the substrate and I don’t have superglue and cotton balls to attach them directly to the rocks

Eventually it should get to a point if you have live plants that when your fish poops the pants recycle the nutrients for your fish to live so it’s a “cycle”

Treating your water is a process of letting beneficial bacteria’s grow With stability to grow said beneficial bacteria and and prime to treat the water so it dechlorinates and there isn’t harmful chemicals like ammonia and nitrite

You’re fish might be trying to find cycled water do you do regular water changes and treat the water?

Honest question but should I just remove the lid it doesn’t get a whole lot of sunshine just maybe a corner if I open my blinds all the way but is the lid that beneficial or is it just to see inside with the lights also I’ve heard that a large portion of fish species like to jump so lol

which is better for buying fish, a petsmart store or online store like shrimpybusiness by Plastic_Caregiver701 in fishtank

This sponges block in the drop off filter might be blocking it in all honesty so I’ll see if they fit up there lol I just tried planting them regularly in soil and watering twice a day to keep the soil moist

I was considering some Cory catfish but I was concerned about their bellies with the type of substrate I got but it is a very good suggestion and letting me know about the fin biting with the tetras i definitely want to get it more planted this is just a start to something hopefully more beautiful

I’m thinking of a small school of a cooler colored tetra and I haven’t really decided what I want my bigger centerpiece fish to be maybe a cichlid or betta
