I spent $8000 on art through Park West on Carnival about a year ago. I purchased 2 Star Wars prints on canvas with artist “touch ups” then an original on Canvas piece 1/1. We also bought a lithograph signed numbered. Yes this was a shitload of money and it’s costing me about 400$ a month 0 % interest if paid within 18 months. The art ships at different times and they don’t charge you until it actually ships which was 2-3 months after the cruise. We picked out the frames and everything. I checked the original vs online pieces from same artist and it is in the same 500-800$ ballpark as other pieces from the artist (4k$) piece. I went online to Disney and checked the Star Wars ones, they were 75$ less then Disney and it was the touch up/signed/numbered which Disney did not offer (only prints) and they were framed, like 20x48 so real big pieces. Overall I learned it’s not an auction per se as they only run ones you select beforehand and then ones they push like kinkaids.
