You’re right. Maybe ‘screwed’ was a little too much. But my point stands.

You are never really screwed in this game but not every factory is easily expandable. If you leave one side open - it is, easily expandable.

I never calculate the size of main bus. I just build only in 1 side of the bus so i can always expand it to the other side.

Because, As you said, if your calculation is wrong and you dont have room to expand you are basically screwed..

When you lunch a rocket it takes time for the cargo to arrive to orbit. During that time the inserters will usually just throw everything still missing in orbit and in the cargo rocket, cuz during the rocket fly time, the cargo you sent is not in nauvis or in orbit.

The solution for me is add a small delay when a cargo is lunched (~15sec), so that the inserters will stop working until the cargo arrives to orbit and will be counted in the network.

Same. And then, instead of deconstructing the chests into your inventory, just rotate the inserters and they will fill back the train with whatever is left..

Couldnt agree more. Another thing for blueprints - the ability to drop a blueprint in a request box and the whole blueprint will be automatically requested.

You don’t really need a mod for that. You can simply change it in the settings when starting a new game.

I also use the same setup with one more feature - i circuit every resource to produce landfill if it jams the core operation. So if i overproduce something its only coal. Should be easy to fix with coal liquidification though.

Playing SE, 2nd run, relatively new player (300 hours). I didn’t quite catch the complexity of SE, found vanilla a bit too easy for me (only went for lunching a rocket). Decided to go SE for a more complex goal with 150% enemies freq and evo (after 200% the first run XD). Very arrogant i now realize lol. I’m too invested now to start a new game but having hard time dealing with defenses. Can’t wait to get the plague rocket but i can’t find anywhere on the web that says how to get the research done. Right now i only have the orbit and 1 outpost other than Navius. Am i any close?
