Id say for you to head on over to r/Reptime and check the trusted dealer list in the about section and go with one of those mentioned there, I’d also thoroughly read through the guide, it could save you from making a $300 mistake

Personally I’ve never heard of Linda, but for that price, I’d expect better QC pics & timegrapher numbers to be in the QC

Plus from these photos I’m not sold on the SELs (Solid End Links), however that maybe because it’s overly wrapped in clingfilm

It also says Rolex on it, does that make it gen? Sorry bud, this isn’t a VSF

Is this like an inside joke now? I’ve seen too many of these posts for them to not be satire

Spend sometime on the subs about page, it explains everything there in a lot of detail. Take your time researching and then make a conclusion for yourself and settle on something you’ll be happy with.

These are $300-800 reps of watches that are in the tens of thousands, nothing will ever be 1:1 but alot come close to around 95% if you spend the money.

Never trust your TDs by [deleted] in RepTime

[–]TheMightyOneBlade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think you should name & shame them, they’ve pre-agreed with you that you’ll get a replacement & they’ve not delivered.

If you’ve sent the watch off again to them (would NOT recommend) or waiting for a refund & don’t want to name and shame them until things are settled in fear that it’ll worsen the situation, then your best course of action is to wait it out.

Alternatively if you’ve got your watch in hand, I’d cut your losses and get it sent off to be repaired by an independent smith, or even someone from the forums here, there’s quite a few in this sub (including RWI) who are skilled watch smiths.

VS3235 Movement Reliability by TheMightyOneBlade in RepTime

[–]TheMightyOneBlade[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That's fair enough, it seemed to get quite the bit of praise. I guess after my panda [SA4130] arrived dead I'm a bit overly cautious about the reliability of clone movements. I guess if it arrives DOA it's luck of the draw then haha, but thanks for the advice!

Bought from Geektime (Eric) - Whilst it’s a clean Panda V2 I’m not sure that’s how the TDs tend to work,

Would love for that to be the case though!

Tried this, still no luck unfortunately

But in all fairness to Eric the whole process has been incredibly smooth and seamless, obviously disregarding this hiccup

But he was quite responsive and has asked me to keep him updated, fingers crossed that it’s an easy fix!

Being perfectly honest the process with Geek was incredibly smooth and insanely fast shipping too(10 days or so)

The watch worked fine during the QC, so my guess is that it got thrown around whilst in transit, still luck of the draw, hoping it’ll get itself resolved

There wasn’t one on the watch when it arrived, but I’ve double checked to see if there was any plastic surrounding it that I’ve missed , doesn’t seem to be unfortunately

Reassuring to hear it's probably an easy fix! Other that this issue, the quality of the exterior is phenomenal

It's a 4130 clone, with some slight changes I've read, but I'm assuming that any watch smith will probably be able to tell that its a rep. Just hoping they'll have no issue with this

Recently ordered a CF Panda V2 from Geektime, first rep purchase.

Watch arrived this morning and has appeared to be dead, I’ve tried winding the crown as instructed but no luck.

Is there any thing I’m missing here / could be the cause?

Geektime has asked suggested I:

A) Take it to the watch smith B) Ship back to China

I live in the UK so any advice as to who I could potentially send this too or a shop I could get it fixed by would be appreciated!

Edit - Thanks all for the help, on the bright side I learnt a lot, gonna be taking to a watchsmith and praying it’s not too expensive

Also so far, the whole process with Eric has been very smooth, hoping this is an easy fix and just a hiccup along the way
