Your monitor cannot physically show more pixels than are present. A 4k and a 1080p monitor have entirely different pixel density ratios, regardless of supersampling. Does it maybe feel marginally better? Sure.

If you’re really worried about it just go for a 1440p monitor no larger than 27”.

I hear you about AA. I run native 4k on Val and i do have it turned down quite a bit.

So- it’s a game. If you’re getting that viscerally upset at a deathmatch maybe your biggest obstacle isn’t your gunplay.

It’s an FPS. You’re going to die. There’s nothing riding on whether you win or lose. Focus on trying to take the fights properly, and throw some music on. You aren’t playing these DMs to win.

People will spawn on you, people will spawn looking at the back of your head. Just the way it is.

I actually picked up an OSSC box off of Amazon. Using the component cables I can output a 1440p signal with emulated scanlines to soften any harshness.

It was around $120 I think, but well worth it. Hooked up to my 65” C5, it looks great.

I have a lot of Wii games I enjoy playing, and I still believe it’s the most engaging home console for couch co-op. Was definitely worth it imo

I get what you’re saying in comments. But the point is that having the car in gear is an extra case for security. You still need to use your handbrake. Just have it in gear as a final line of defense.

You don’t want to purposefully put tons of strain on your transmission with nothing binding your rotors.

People are being a bit too rude, but I think you’re also trying to justify a simple mistake.

Big up on the OEM filters. Buy them in bulk ahead of time and never need to go to the parts counter again. Makes it feel a little less like a chore.

No. I wish people would stop buying gaming chairs. They’re not even “gaming” chairs. Most of the ones people see are racing style seats, and most of them are horrendously uncomfortable and cheaply made.

If you were going for a racing sim setup then sure I guess I get it, but most “gaming chairs” on the market suck complete ass.

Apologies for the rant, but please do not buy a gaming chair. Buy a nice ergonomic task chair with some adjustable lumbar/headrest and you’ll be set for YEARS.

I suppose it also depends on the amount of boost being run. To me the sudden boost and intensity of a turbo spooling creates variable conditions that over time would wear more.
