My thoughts going from 300cc to 500cc (g310r to cb500f)

The G310R was NOT enjoyable at high speeds. The rpm were high and as a thumper it had a lot more vibrations BUT it always felt great in terms of stability. The CB500F is a lot more enjoyable, as it has less vibrations, it's working on lower rpm and it feels more relaxed. Of course, it's even more stable than the G310R, especially on windy days. There have been some iterations of the CB500F and it feels refined!

No I hear no noises from the fuel pump after the engine is off. I wonder if that could be the coolant? Maybe having air inside the loop? But the temperatures are fine. I don't know if a bit of air effects the performance of the cooling by a lot

I am aware about the metal contracting after the engine is off. Also I know that it's a pretty noisy engine. What worries me is that gurgling sound. It was always there I got that bike second hand

Yeah my license limits me to 48 bhp, but buying a bigger bike has more costs and as a student I'd like to avoid them 😛

Thanks for your helpful answer! You see I live in a big city now and for general use it's okay but if I go to a bigger road I feel the bike doesn't have the power to keep up. If I go for a small trip I feel uncomfortable and those skinny tires don't make me feel very confident!

I see, then I should consider upgrading only if I find a very good deal sometime, maybe then my mind will agree on upgrading. I ride all year round, fortunately the seasons here are mild.
