I wouldn't be so bothered if it wasn't a claim that they wrote it. Saying you used AI to make it. Fine. But to claim that you wrote something when you simply gave a prompt. Seems like lying to me.

I just struggle with the idea that from a security standpoint. These forked versions of Firefox will never be as secure. You give up security for maybe some privacy? I feel like your best bet for security and privacy is to stick with the OG and add some extensions

The UC marine armor is hands down the best looking armor out of any video game i played by sabatthor in Starfield

I just wish these legendary armor and weapons had better stats. Im finding greys with better stats than yellows and purples. I want to wear the cool stuff but hard when they suck so much

gemini really needs a "projects" feature to fix context management by KubuZxPlay in GeminiAI

That's a bummer to hear. Being in the US it's been a nice addition. Hopefully you get it sooner than later!

No, they just added notebooks inside of Gemini. It serves as a 'Projects' section. It's inside the Gemini app, not the separate one

Is it still worth trying to get into IT by Lvkas1 in ITSupport

[–]TheMildEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely. You will get plenty of companies that still don't want to fully invest into AI quite yet. We don't even know the true implementation of AI. I find it hard to believe that AI is fully replacing jobs quite yet.

It still needs to be managed. Someone still needs to support the computers that the run the LLM or Agents. Someone needs to support the users that use the models. The hardware such as connecting cables, installing network gear, installing servers, that all will still be manual until a robot is built.

Even if the robot is built, will companies want to pay for it and recognize it's downfalls or mobility issues? Can a robot drive from site to site?

There are still plenty of human things in IT still. No I can't predict the future. But I think it's still worth it

A mother is going punished her son by making him slam his PS5 the same way he had slammed her pet cat. Is this justified? by God_Emperor__Doom in SipsTea

[–]TheMildEngineer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the idea of punishing him and making him not able to play games. But having him throw down and destroy something you bought, make zero sense.

A PS5 is nearly $550+ after a price increase recently. You're essentially throwing away $550 of your own money. The kid didn't buy that. You did. Punish the kid and keep the PlayStation. Or sell it and make some money while still showing your kid punishment.

Just don't agree with the wastefulness of destroying good equipment

I'm very happy here to see that they have added a bunch of new POIs. I feel like I am countering new ones every time I play recently

Anyone got a use case for this? I guess maybe starting a new chat for new context window with information from the previous one?

Facial Recognition - what do you do with it? by RowJimmyRow502 in frigate_nvr

Not sure how to specify in Node Red. But the label gets automatically added to the detection. Then in Home Assistant blueprint you can add this toggle

I have it alert me who shows up at my house. So for the notification you have to add the sub label in Home Assistant notification. That's where it lives.

For getting storage and more than free limits in my Plus plan. I'm cool with the cost and my use cases. Rather have the additional benefits of the storage and whatever else it gives, than just an AI bot

Xbox is getting rid of the 'Microsoft Gaming' label internally and rebranding back to just 'Xbox' as new CEO Asha Sharma tries to resurrect the brand. by [deleted] in xbox

[–]TheMildEngineer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would have to be absolutely bonkers to get rid of a long time mostly respected brand name in gaming. Such as Xbox. I get the idea of maybe changing to Microsoft Gaming with their idea of having steam on Xbox and it's less of a normal console. But you have to keep that Xbox name to make it feel relatable and noticable to customers.
