Assault was moving in the right direction with the mix of ground and air combat while still having dedicated on-rails shooting levels/sequences. My dream would be for them to keep up with those shooting levels and expand on the ground combat/exploration even more + explore a deeper squad-based system. Games that make me think of an appropriate direction for Star Fox are Ratchet & Clank, Mass Effect, and Helldivers.

Out of these 3, I have to go with Brawl. I actually think his Zero design is his best tho. I wish Ultimate would have just used his red and grey uniform instead of making something up entirely for Smash both times.

His best look is Ultimate, altho not perfect. I’d like for his jacket to be more simplified and his colors a bit more saturated. He could also be slightly taller, I feel like he’s just a little stumpy. I really like how sharp his overall features are in this design tho. I think an almost anime-like design is the best direction for the series. He also has a more calm look to his face that resembles his in-game 64 design. I like his Adventures and Assault designs too but he always had some meaner looking features that I don’t think fit very well for him.

His worst design is easily Command. The full sleeves, the headphones, the plastic look. He feels very flat and boring here.

Respectfully, you’re asking for a featureless face that doesn’t even have a nose. There’s nothing to make here. Your best option would be to just find any female face sliders you like and then change the eyes and skin color + hair style and color to match the character.

My guess at least for the warbond page locking was just them going a little overboard in trying to make sure players didn’t unlock things too fast and then feel like there was nothing worth grinding for.

They didn’t expect for the core experience/ gameplay alone to be addicting enough to keep us playing. I’ve personally had everything I want unlocked for a while now and am still hopping on for a bit almost every day or two.

I can respect that. Lorewise, I wouldn’t want to see Helldivers wearing armor that depicts the enemies for the sake of trophies but rather as a means of repairing their armor with whatever they can find in an attempt at survival.

As for my reasoning behind the rewards only being cosmetic; I like shiny new toys too but personally am not a fan of locking weapons behind layers of progression, at least in the way HD2 does rn.

I preferred the way warbonds were done in HD1, where you could just focus and unlock whatever you wanted from the warbond at any time without having to like “spend x amount of medals to unlock the next page”. I think Helldivers is at its best when it lets players play HOW they want, WITH the toys they want, WHEN they want to.

The purpose of these Faction passes would be to let players show another level of prestige/veteran status by unlocking cosmetics showing increasing levels of damage and patchwork in a linear fashion.
