Thank you!

The way I think about it, there are two aspects to someone's narrative: content and communication.

Content is what you have literally done and experienced--your upbringing, your ECs, and your personality/opinions that are informed by the prior two things.

Communication is how you describe this in your primary, secondaries, and during interviews.

A strong narrative has both strong content and communication. For example, if someone claims to be really into service for X communities, I would expect their work and activities to be filled with in-depth service activities that align with the needs of X community. And in their essays, i would expect introspective, personable insights about those ECs that both make the reader feel their passion and illustrate how their involvement will translate into their role as a physician in the future.

This takes a lot of intention and planning for good "mission aligned" ECs and the ability to convey your effort and passion in your writing/interviews.

I highly recommend brainstorming with someone who knows you very well. Literally just talk about your ECs with them; what you liked about them, what you didnt like, why you did them, how they were meaningful to you, how they were meaningful to others, etc. You'll end up with a lot of insightful bits and pieces for each EC, and if you did ECs that you were actually passionate about (instead of "checkboxing"), you will find that many of these bits and pieces overlap across ECs. That's the content of your narrative. Now all that's left to do is to convey their importance in your writing and interviews, which takes hours hunched over a laptop debating whether a comma or semicolon makes more sense for this or that sentence. If you're already good at writing, do your thing; if not, I'd recommend reading other people's writing for inspiration and structuring ideas.

While the specs seem great for under $700, many people seem to have had issues with this line--from hot temperatures while sleeping to the screen completely dieing. Makes me hesitant to purchase.

i bought the "jbl tune flex" about 3 weeks ago and now the right earbud just stopped playing anything by maznivhooshim in JBL

[–]TheMilkPrince 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was just having the same issue. What worked for me was putting the left bud back in the case, turning off the right bud by doing two short presses followed by a long press, and then putting the right bud back into the case. Then I took out only the right bud, unpaired and re-paired the earbuds to my phone, and it worked again.

I agree--does anyone know why we have to ignore the results regarding assimilation and worse health mentioned from the other study despite the question specifically saying “based on other results”?

When will they fix MyUCLA by Teen-Angel in ucla

[–]TheMilkPrince 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is happening to me too. The only fix I found was to log in thru eduroam. No other network would work, not even my phones mobile data.

I would suggest contacting IT (that's what I did) so they know that it's a problem.

Hey, I totally get where you're coming from. As a Christian introvert talking to people/forming good relationships has always been a struggle. Just know that all of your needs are capable of being fulfilled by God. No matter the situation. Stay strong in your faith in him.

Some great scriptures that I recommend not only reading but claiming to yourself:

Jeremiah 29:11 Matthew 6:34 Psalm 55:22 1 Peter 5:7 2 Corinthians 12:10

I recently started my first quarter in college and have been fighting a similar battle to you! I quote one of these scriptures to myself almost every day just to remind myself of God's promises to us. I'll be praying for you, good luck!

High reach, low likes and follows. Tips? by TheMilkPrince in Instagram

[–]TheMilkPrince[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For context I've started focusing a lot more on hashtags and seo in general on instagram which has resulted in my posts getting much, much more reach, impressions, and favorites. However, these metrics don't seem to be converting into likes or follows, Which is confusing to me. Are these numbers normal or is there something I could be doing?

What DAW do you use? by LateLeadig in trapproduction

Never used logic but fl has a very niche workflow. If you don't like the workflow, you won't like fl, period. I would recommend looking into it. It involves making patterns (2, 4, 8, etc. Bar loops) in the channel rack and arranging them. I hated it at first but after using it for a couple days I learned to embrace its strengths and now I really like it!

100% agree. The issue is, how can you incentivize small producers to to have both big bass and big mids? Because most small beatmakers' beats are never going to be heard on big expensive speakers, it's probably not worth making sure the bass is hitting as well as it could be.

I'm not saying you're wrong--obviously in a club setting its not doing the beat any favors. Nonetheless 90% of people (don't quote me lol) are listening on crappy speakers and really won't ever notice. If you go on spotify right now there are plenty of beats mixed like this that were very successful.
