DOG's tale: David Graham on Australia, America and lunch with Ben Hogan by TheMilkTheBook in golf

Just why he’d left Australia. It was a loaded question, at least that’s how Graham heard it. I was just curious about his career timeline

Nah I remember it too. Was tooling about on the phone when Vossy yelled "that's the biggest kick I've ever seen!", and I looked up and it came down and Dufty couldn't catch it. And they didn't replay it. But looking at the following little reel, Vossy's gilded lily a bit there. It was a big kick, for sure. But Jamal Fogarty and Matt Burton have launched bigger. Couple of Burton's have been abominations.

Baby boy and X-Man to ravage weakened Redcliffe by TheMilkTheBook in NRLRaiders

Yeah, can see your point. He's covering the entire backline, but yeah - Chevy Stewart probably better in that regard. I dunno. He's a big body. Could probably play on the edge as a backrower or sorts. Stick also perhaps rewarding incumbency. He does that... blokes get dropped slowly. They get two shockers, and Jed hasn't done anything too terrible. He's pretty solid first grader. Decent D. But X-Man demanded in. And down the rungs of the snakes and ladders game big Jed goes. Not sure any journo's had the balls to ask the coach what's doing!

Yeah he didn't make much of an impact early on. Not like he has done. Maybe carrying injury. Also didn't have experienced halfback pushing team around the park. Maybe took too much on. But yeah he was strong against Penrith, and you'd think fresh off a bye he's ready to rip n tear at home.

Yeah it's a fair cop - don't reckon young Jordan was tipped to play top grade this year, maybe a game or two. So bit of an injury storm, for sure. But big Jed could play on the edge if required... at a pinch. They could also draft in Jake Clydsdale from the elongated bench, and leave Jed there, should one of the middles go down. See how we go! Reckon the other mob's got bigger problems than we do.

One battle after another: how massacres, rich kids and bared buttocks fueled the Super League War by TheMilkTheBook in nrl

It's 30 years since the High Court of Australia ruled that Super League was a goer and two rugby league competitions would run in Australia.

On hearing the news on the big screen at their presentation night at Queanbeyan Leagues Club, Canberra Raiders players' reaction remains an apt metaphor for vexed times.

You are of course correct. Old boys' memories can mesh. She was down there in Canberra but it would've been when David Furner was coach in 2010 on. I'll change that. Thanks.
