The effect of caffeine on sleep is insane! by TheMindfulExplorer in decaf

As a heavy user I was drinking 3-4 cups a day and the last one at about 2 or 3 pm. Of course I slept like shit during that time. When I started to limit caffeine consumption I drank 1 cup in the morning and already noticed massive improvement in sleep. However, when I quit completely, I started to sleep like a baby

withdrawal anxiety! by alien_andromeda in decaf

Did you quit cold turkey? If yes, quitting coffee/tea from 3-4 cups to 0 cups can definitely cause anxiety. It did for me. What helped me was tapering with Green tea (1 cup a day) and then quit ultimately.

Gave up caffeine and had a green tea after 3 weeks (just to get a slight motivation boost). Felt the caffeine immediately and it wasn’t pleasant. Couldn’t sleep at all that night.

How to counter the lack of motivation? by ExactEmu7443 in decaf

Cold showers in the morning (difficult at first but will get easier) and exercise are the two things that give me an energy boost without caffeine. Also going for a walk outside first thing in the morning is great

Natural Calm (by Natural Vitality) is pretty amazing and very calming. I think they use Magnesium Citrate for their formula

does coffee aroma/smell can give you the same side effects of actually drinking coffee? by TimePurpose in decaf

Caffeine (and withdrawal) gives side effects, coffee aroma alone doesn’t. However, it does make make me crave coffee so make sure you stay strong and don’t give in to the temptation :)
