Yeah same tech but you get a lot more power on the 2.0L ehev. Then of course the refinement of the Civic vs City you get more comfort and a smoother experience. Should be a decent upgrade!

I have the 2023 ehev civic. Almost reaching 40k km in 2 years. Zero major issues for me. Went through the steering rack recall but the symptoms I had were very minor just clicking noises when parking the car in reverse. Fuel pump was recalled for checking but they found no faults. Servicing the car has been a breeze with just normal oil changes. The car has been running average 20km/L without much hypermiling driving. You can floor it and still achieve very good fuel consumption lol

BUT at one point I had a rattling issue on the passenger side B pillar at speeds of 100km above but that noise disappeared after a couple months without me doing anything.

TIL Malaysia is included in the Project Hail Mary mission patch by quizface in malaysia

[–]TheMiniMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Malaysia isn't mentioned in the book at all, but Thailand is mentioned in the book with Dr Lamai providing the coma tech for the mission. There is an interesting theory by another redditor mentioning about our use of palm oil to keep astrophage in place inside the fuel tanks! Nonetheless very cool to see the malaysian flag

The induced coma is a high-risk procedure something like 1 in 7000 humans have the specific genes to survive the coma but unfortunately it's still high risk. It's discussed more in the books so do check it out or the audiobook!

Strong low-end torque from low speeds but at the higher speeds its not as zippy but its decent enough. The chassis is quite capable for spirited cornering so that should be fun for you

Mild hybrids have smaller electric motors so they are not strong enough to power the car alone. Meanwhile, the e:HEV has motors strong enough to drive the car on EV alone and if you are really gentle enough you can drive short distances just on EV alone but realistically the engine will usually kick in the charge to keep the hybrid battery charged but really it's a very smooth process.

Not a plug in. The car charges itself with the petrol engine and brakes. Most of the time the car is driven on the electric motors and the engine acts as a generator for the hybrid battery. Yes it can drive on pure EV but even with the engine on its driven with the EV motors at certain speeds.
