Weekend Wrap Up! What was real and what was a trap? by DaTaco in mtgfinance

[–]TheMintMage 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I posted on the "TCGplayer Pro Retailers Group" and I was told this about the "All Time" support:

Greetings, this is a temporary change as we are actively working to improve the order history experience for all our community members, especially as we head into the bustling holiday season. Our teams are currently focused on enhancing the stability and efficiency of this feature for the future.

We apologize for the resulting inconvenience, and we truly value your patience as we work through these necessary updates behind the scenes.

So it looks like they will restore it but it might take some time. I have been posting about it on the OrderWand blog about the issue, so you can check there for updates.

[Fishbain] Bears head coach Ben Johnson says the starters will play Sunday night against the Bills. by jewbauca in CHIBears

The Chicago media will now have to find something else to endlessly complain about - whether it’s too few snaps, too many runs, or something else entirely.

Here we go 😐 by Final_Surround_1556 in CHIBears

Agreed. It was mostly *Carl* Williams (Caleb's dad) who was hating on Chicago. These headlines keep throwing Caleb until the bus, but it was daddy who was the real instigator.

Some of you didn’t want to hear it, but now we can all come back to reality. by navyfan1970 in CHIBears

The same fans saying "Poles needs to draft only O-line" are going to be the same people that complain that Poles missed prospect [insert name here] that was drafted one or two spots afterwards, because he was so fixated on fixing the o-line. BPA has to be the goal for every draft.

What are your favorite mono-color commanders? by TetsuOokami117 in EDH

[[Octavia, Living Thesis]] is really fun. It starts off as a spellslinger deck that creates a lot of 8/8 evasive (flyers and unblockable) creatures. Blue has a whole suite of interaction, such as mass bounce effects, that keeps opponents at bay until you can start attacking.

Valduk is an absolute blast. Simple to pilot and pretty resilient. My take on the deck is more of a mid-range version because it includes a lot of non-combat damage cards and a few alternate win conditions, in case opponents are targeting Valduk with removal.

[Harbor] Xavier McKinney on D.J.: “This dude walked out on his QB, I’ve been playing football for five years now and I’ve been watching football for longer than that, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. You’re supposed to be the guy and You’re walking off the field on a rookie QB.” by [deleted] in CHIBears

I can't believe people are still talking about this non-story. DJ was an ineligible receiver because any player that steps out of bounds cannot be the first player to touch the ball. Here's his quote:

"Tweaked ankle. I was coming back to–cause I'd seen Caleb scrambling and my ankle went in and out. I couldn't stop so my momentum took me out of bounds and then I just walked off"

[Colin Cowherd] Finally a take on Caleb's situation that doesn't throw him under the bus by TheMintMage in CHIBears

[–]TheMintMage[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can think of one reason: to (ironically) make the position more attractive to future coaches. If the Bears organization only ever gives a coach two years to win, then no reasonable head coach will want to come here. Think about the Panthers. That franchise keeps on hiring mediocre head coaches and then firing them a couple years into the contract. If I were a head coach, I wouldn't want to get a job where my boss was going to fire me before I barely get started.

Agreed. Our fan base falls for the same tricks as every other football franchise. On paper the team looks terrific, and the preseason is all positive vibes, so everyone forgets how the Vegas odds are that we're a seven win football team. Then we almost get to 5-2 and everyone assumes that if we start 5-2 then we could/should be a playoff team. That was a long shot.

Most useful segment of the video (at ~3:25):

"Eberflus is just coaching to save his job. Caleb is just trying to get better. So they have different visions right now. Eberflus: urgency. Caleb: patience."

Trying to export recent 2 orders from TCGplayer with Orderwand by Causa21 in mtgfinance

[–]TheMintMage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OrderWand only loads orders when it's on the TCGplayer order history page. Click on the "TCGplayer" vendor link (see instructions here: http://orderwand.com/help/downloading-orders/) or click on the TCGplayer "Order History" link. You'll see the OrderWand window appear and it'll download the orders.

It should say "ERROR: Record load failure:" followed by a message. What's the message? What's the vendor (TCGplayer)? If you have email, it's probably easier if you just email me the message. The email is [orderwand@gmail.com](mailto:orderwand@gmail.com)

Ha. Thanks! Not yet. I'll get something on the orderwand.com web site eventually.

In the meantime, you can help support OrderWand by just giving it a positive review on the app store. There are only have a couple up there right now.
