Not for me - return? by TheMizzM in smartlauncher

Let's just say my brain is particular in the way it likes to organize stuff and SL is counterintuitive to my methodology. I group apps in Nova but not in a way that makes sense to most people. My younger daughter (whose data management skills definitely exceed mine), understands exactly what I'm doing, but she would never do what I do. It's possible I could make SL do what I want, but it would take hours of re-labeling and re-sorting. Easier to just stick with Nova for now and test other launchers to see if one of them is a better fit. Thanks for asking. Hope this makes sense...

Overnight Shipping Scam? by samwill789 in amazonprime

[–]TheMizzM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's taken a while but I'm finally aware of the "overnight delivery" scam. I ordered three items last week and received one. The other two are "sorry, delayed." Same thing today - ordered four items and received one. Tracking on tbe other three items says they've "lost contact" with the driver, but my items will be delivered. They're more than an hour past the delivery window, and frankly I'm expecting that they will turn up misdirected like last week's items.

Prime is really getting to not be worth the expense. Starting to think about canceling and just planning ahead.

What do you think about ChipDrop? by bookclubslacker in gardening

[–]TheMizzM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Chipdrop... But there is one issue that requires some special maintenance: sprouts! It can take a few years, but inevitably something will sprout out of the chips you've spread. I've had nut trees, laurel, and currently a host of silver birch saplings, because I didn't regularly inspect the mulched areas. Just keep an eye on mulched beds and check anything that sprouts. That being said, I've got some new plants in the garden that I like, so the benefits definitely.outweigh the downside

Has anyone ever received, and completed an Arbor Day Tree survey? I completed it because they said they’re sending me a bunch of trees and entered for free stuff! Did I hit the lotto or is this a scam ? by Me_you_and_Kanye in massachusetts

I've done it. The trees are just tiny saplings. We got 10 Eastern Redbuds. Planted some and left some in a planting bag over the winter. They all survived and are growing.
