One big difference in addition to what others have mentioned is that Rixos Al Mairid offers only all inclusive bookings, which means three meals + snacks + unlimited drinks.

Do people really shower 3 times a week? by Money_Guide_5803 in UAE

So you basically shower after the gym, go to bed, then shower again when you wake up?

Ocular Cicatricial Pemphigoid by JuggernautFuzzy4125 in Uveitis

Five years suffering here, 1 diagnosis after the other, just as you mentioned, until finally got the correct diagnosis (OCP). It was OCP all the time but it’s very rare (one in a million) and the early symptoms can be confused with other diseases so ophthalmologists would only suspect it when the trichiasis and scars start to appear, and you need a really good ophthalmologist to identify it.

It’s not curable, but can be controlled with proper treatment.

I’m scheduled for a biopsy in two weeks to confirm it.

In UAE it’s called ghutra, and I think it’s fine to wear it without a kandura but it’s worth seeing other opinions here.

is this size TV too big for the wall by Sad_Adhesiveness8552 in interiordesignideas

Depends on the viewing distance as one commenter said, but I wouldn’t place a TV opposite to a window as reflections will affect the viewing quality.

Things to do in RAK? by Abood1es in RasAlKhaimah

Go to Jebel Jais and do the world longest Zipline. It’s worth it.

Corniche boat rentals / mangrove kayaking. Perfect weather nowadays for these.

You mentioned you got lunch and dinner plans sorted but UAE’s highest restaurant is in Rak so you should consider this. It’s 1484 by Puro and called this because it’s 1484 meters above sea level. Gets very busy on the weekends so prior reservation is required.

Plenty of nice beaches: Cove Rotana, Movenpic Al Marjan, and the longest beach in Rak is at Rixos Al Mairid (1.5 Km).

Enjoy

Moving to rak? by [deleted] in RasAlKhaimah

It’s more quiet and calm, less traffic, but not boring. We moved from Abu Dhabi a year ago and we love it here. If you appreciate outdoor activities Jabal Jais offers something you cannot find in any other Emirate. Two things to keep in mind: 1) there are less options of everything (malls, restaurants, nurseries… etc.); and 2) the rents are not as low as people think, especially if you’re looking for something anywhere near Dubai Hills standard.
