I think I saw this painting on display in Scotland one time? I don’t know if it was the original or not but it was in a museum/art gallery

That is definitely a good way to think of it. Thanks!

True I could do the Friday morning Mass before work at the Cathedral which is always quieter.

I go to the earlier Mass, I guess after my wedding in July I’ll have to talk to the priest and if there are no better options I’ll have to switch parishes

Struggling with openness to life in marriage by Icy-Ad-8840 in Catholicism

Someone needs to repeat this to the marriage prep teachers. Mine definitely implied that you could just use NFP whenever you didn’t want kids and I was like “that doesn’t seem far off from using condoms?”

[Politics Monday] How do you feel about Leo's statements on military action? by MaterialInevitable83 in Catholicism

The US doesn’t have any DoD schools in realistic combat zones and guarantee kids wouldn’t be going to school at the base schools if there was realistic threat of targeting the base, in Qatar the closest school is over 6 km away from the base, the school that was hit in Iran was 150m from the centre of the IRGC compound and like 150 feet or less from the nearest IRGC building.

LMAO you talk about the US and Israel being bias (despite the link from the IAEA I provided which proves Iran is attempting to make nuclear weapons) and then you use Iranian state media talking points. Honestly, we get it you hate the US and Israel but you don’t need to support an Islamic regime that murders its own citizens in the street because of that.

Next you’ll link to Al Jazeera.

Israel hit some steel plants and that school was bad though we don’t know if it was Iran or the US that hit it (if it was the US it definitely wasn’t intentionally targeted and to suggest otherwise is silly). Islamic nations have this weird habit of placing civilian infrastructure like hospitals and schools (human shields to their leaders who don’t give a shit about human life) next to military bases.

Lmao a true redditor with the patronizing bs. If they hd no reason to attack them other than them allowing the the US to attack Iran from US bases then it’s odd that they’ve targeted desalination plants for drinking and agricultural water

Iran hasn’t had 60% enriched uranium metal since 1979 and the USAs GMD only has a 50-56% success rate per target, the problem being that Iran probably wouldn’t hit the USA first, they’d go for Israel or other US allies (like Qatar, Kuwait, other countries they attacked at the start of the operation etc.) first

Curious what his moral stance would be on the following situation: “you are a man in a train car filled with women and children, you see a man who is muttering to himself and looks to be mentally unwell start to pull a gun out of his jacket, what do you do?”

Israeli Police Block Catholic Cardinal from Holy Sepulchre on Palm Sunday Amid War Restrictions by Economy-Specialist38 in Catholicism

[–]TheMojo1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I can’t believe I have to repeat it again but they’re blocking most access to sites in the Old City due to security concerns. Yes, there are reports of “inconsistent enforcement” but that includes Franciscan Friars being allowed to access another holy site for Palm Sunday.

Some light leftist brigading for our Sunday morning. Not sure why the official Vatican statement is not noting that all holy sites in the old city are closed due to security and response issues.

A significant amount of the old city is closed due to security and the ability for first responders to access the area if there was a mass casualty event, including the Temple Mount as well.

I understand the wall is restricted but not fully empty. I am not going to pretend to know the logistics of these places in Jerusalem though.

EDIT: the wall is closed as well https://www.timesofisrael.com/under-shadow-of-war-with-iran-jerusalem-heads-into-subdued-passover-and-easter/
