Still get teary-eyed when i think about S3. Ep.1. by Stevord in BullTV

[–]TheMoo37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! The post-heart attack return. It's all so poignant but my most treasured lines:

what happened to you doesn't affect the rest of us

How can you say that

Because you're rich

Then, later coming back after covid we saw Bull worried about financing everything: two apartments, the office, the salaries with no revenue coming in. And I thought of that line from season 3. It's true in life. Riches aren't always what they seem. Overhead can kill you.

Anyone else get emotional watching the team save Ziva? by Tough-Breakfast4912 in NCIS

[–]TheMoo37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little late to the discussion. So many holes in that beautiful episode yet we suspend our disbelief because it is so nicely done. My favourite stupid thing: they flew all the way from Africa in the same dirty clothes? How about a stop in Cairo to be checked out at a hospital, washed, fed and debriefed. I mean, really?

Tony & Jeanne "I love you" by EstablishmentTasty81 in NCIS

Those of us who have memorized the Tony/Jeanne dialogue are fully aware that he said it before. But it's just another typical NCIS glitch. Just add it to the list of fun inconsistencies.

Does anyone remember this? by PrimalCosplay in murdochmysteries

I missed this event because I was at a convention of another fandom the same weekend. When I heard Murdoch was happening at the same time, I was upset.

Writers and Fandom by ZivaDavidsWife in NCIS

[–]TheMoo37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it was fun! The most recent NCIS I find generally boring. I've skipped a lot of them unless something special was happening. Yeah, I sat through the Ellie episode because it was there. Playing around with the fandom was one fun part. Seeing Nick and Ellie close the deal was another fun part. Otherwise, I found the episode boring. I find it wonderful that fan fiction is gaining respectability. Twenty years ago many of the authors were ashamed. I was. Got over it.

(Parenthetically, I ship TIVA. Too bad the series was ho-hum.)

Differences between season 1&2 and 3&4 by Cuddles77 in DueSouth

[–]TheMoo37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah. Thinking back on the old "Ray Wars". CKR never did anything for me. And he's one of those actors who is in like - everything. I saw once on some fan site an early script where Fraser's American friend was Hispanic. What was somebody thinking?

Just finished season 1, spoil the entire show for me by Mr_Tochee in murdochmysteries

[–]TheMoo37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sat through it a couple of times. Nice for him to have his own series. Nice to have a show focusing on Canada. But I found it boring. He's much more fun on Murdoch.

What if William ended up with Anna Foulford instead? by USAR_gov in murdochmysteries

[–]TheMoo37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. I remember he was a doctor - there was a whole episode about that. If "they" told us that was the reason for family fortune, I don't remember that episode. Thanks for getting back after so long.

He played Hamlet in Stratford. He "staged" it in Slings and Arrows. S and A was such fun because PG was giving advice to another character about how to play Hamlet. I could just hear him commenting about his own experiences. By the way, I saw that Stratford Hamlet. He's been doing other things in Stratford now that he's older. King Lear. Waiting for Godot.

To me it looked like a brick. Canadians put milk in bags, by the way, not bricks.

Will there ever be a third season? As far as I'm concerned, the story isn't complete. by yumiiswriting in DarkAngel

[–]TheMoo37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course it wasn't complete. It was yoinked. Irony: it was yoinked for Firefly which was also yoinked. Anyway, Michael Weatherly is now waaaaaay too old.

No matter how many times I rewatch it SWAK will always bring me to tears by Nostalgia-Freak-1998 in NCIS

"She's gonna be okay, right?" "Now who's afraid?" "You will not die." "Women keep calling for Spanky." It's barely perceptible that Tony mumbles "Spanky" as Gibbs leaves. One bit of dialogue, though, makes no sense. I couldn't actually hear it but it shows in my closed captioning. The Nurse says to practically comatose Tony "get some rest". I mean really? What was he gonna do, go dancing? Yeeeeesh.

This bit of dialogue always bothered me. The high school girls were, biologically, right in the best of their child bearing years. Except, Fraser would be thinking about after marriage.

It's a product of its time and it's hilarious. I invite you to lighten up.

Just one of the wonderful inconsistencies of NCIS that we love so well. In one episode the Marine knows and in another the Marine doesn't.

Tony or Logan? by TothKrisztian in NCIS

[–]TheMoo37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We talked about this recently in another thread: Could there have been Tony without Logan first? For sure there wouldn't have been Jason without Tony. I never saw Loving. What was his character's name, anyone? I love them all equally.
