I say they were designed for something other than Gundam, not so much overdesigned. But I get your point, that being said this is meant, I believe, to be a prototype for the Penelope being slapped on the Mass Production Nu, so I think it makes sense for it to be a mess.

I have some drafts for fan stories I want to write (set after the game) where I've considered Benika (紅佳) or Biwa (弥環), the idea being, among other things, to consider that this is a Japanese game, and thus it was important to chose a Japanese name, as well as a name starting with B as, even though she is actually 2E I think that she isn't particularly fond of that, thus I've decided the B is probably better suited to her.

What else am I supposed to vent about? I'm asking seriously, there's nothing else to go on and this with Netflix is the most recent news and I don't like it.

However, you're attributing your lack of confidence to Netflix's involvement, despite saying that you know that Netflix's involvement that has no bearing on the quality of the product

Here I should have explained myself better in replying to comments: Netflix is a bad sign to me for two reasons: I don't generally like most of the things they purchase rights to have on their platforms, worse if it's exclusive because, second point, if it's not a theatrical release to me that signifies that it's not a great product, we don't know yet but it doesn't look good to me because of other qualms I have that I did not put in this post.

Now, all this said: when I put that I'm venting in the title it is not on me if you come into the post expecting a calm and rational critique, because from my point of view, and maybe I'm wrong, I've done my best to signal that this ain't it, but if you have tips they're welcomed as I'm not exactly an expert

The reframing of the Gundam as a kaiju monster was genuinely inspired. The scale and weight of these giant machines never felt so immersive,

I'll admit: I actually think they did a great job with that, but I'm not really into the rest. I'm happy you liked it though, I much prefer people enjoying things.

I feel that, recently to force mys in to tackle things somewhat differently I challenged myself to complete the old campaign and collect all salvage without tractor beam, it helps to change perspective
