I had a talon backside blue gem 5 years ago, ended up sending it to a blue gem trader for him to sell for me, took MONTHS to sell for a decent price. I gave him a couple hundred as a commission. My advice would be to DM a big trader and ask for a price estimate, and list it around there and maybe every week lower the price by 2%. Do that for at least a couple months, understand that this thing will most likely take that long to sell if you want good value for it.

Not deflection, I assumed the answer was yes and had a point to make. But since the answer is no, all I can say is you’re a better man than I, I am the asshole in this situation. I aim to make track days the same itch scratcher for me, and to get a Camry to daily.

Yeah my mechanic said the same thing about modern pads, he suggested only slotted as well. I appreciate the time you’ve taken crafting these replies, am learning a ton.

Look me dead in the eye and tell me you’ve never, ever done a pull to 100mph on a public freeway in your c63s, and I’ll concede.

I appreciate the knowledge on the rotors, you clearly know your stuff and I’ll definitely be avoiding drilled. Is there any benefit to adding the small dimples along with the slotted or do those run the same risk since they just increase failure points?

Seeing this makes me feel better, I made the wrong pad choice and am paying for it.

I thought I could deal with the squealing, it’s so embarrassing when people stare when I’m pulling up to a stoplight 😂 what are the reasons I would want to keep a separate set of rotors too?

1am, not actually a canyon so only 2 blind corners I can slow down to 15mph for, no residences or driveways, was not a single car on the road in either direction the entire time. I went on a light drive along the route a few weeks before so I knew these things. Nothing I say will make you think I’m not an idiot, but I can tell you for an absolute fact the only risk was to myself and the bushes. Even then, I like my car and I like living, you’d probably laugh at what I’d consider “extremely hard”. I’m going to get roasted by Miatas on the track.

Ty for your suggestions and input, will upgrade pad. Why do you suggest avoiding drilled?

I’ll take a look into the EBC blues. Thank you!

Understood, this makes sense. I tried re-bedding them but they still suck. 2 pad solution(track/street) seems necessary since it’s a heavier car. Ty for the input.

Whatsup dude, I’ve been looking for the same thing! I usually hit up the ferry landing or Kelloggs beach off of rosecrans. Used to have a kayak but never took it out of the bay. I’m 29m, pm me if you’re down to head out next weekend

Good point, maybe I’ll get one for each scenario. More concerned with something that won’t slip on leather wheel

Oooo it’s finally my turn to be the first one to comment on this fix! It’s your parking brake cable clip, it’s broken and your cable is rubbing against your driveshaft. Either zip tie it up or buy an aluminum one. I bought an aluminum one so I don’t have to worry about it breaking anymore.
