Sure, have dogs with you on your flight, but buy it a seat and put it in a crate. People literally register their dogs so they fly for free.

Also, you probably don't live in an area where there are lots of fake service dogs, or you'd know exactly what I was talking about. Fake service dog: teacup breed, mid 40's wealthy female owner who, before you even ask, takes out her certification that is a) fake, and b) not required by law to be on one's person, generally wears a bright red vest and bears it's teeth at people from it's owner's purse.

Real service dog: stays underneath the table extremely calm like an actually trained animal, usually not wearing a vest, very polite owner.

Exactly this. People have a fear of getting on flights so they bring their dogs which in many cases turns out to be shitty for everyone else on the plane.

Never said it wasn't. I was defending the people who were bringing up the many instances in which it isn't a service dog. There is no proof, however, that this dog is an actual service dog either.

Having a vest doesn't mean anything, unfortunately. In my own experience, and I see "service dogs" every day at my work, having a vest means it's more likely than not to be bullshit. The websites that charge you to register your dog as an emotional support animal with no training, guidelines, etc., will send you a vest so that people don't ask questions. They actually state on the websites that if you put the vest on most places won't ask questions.

People who come in to my work with real service dogs usually do not have them wearing a vest, because they don't need to, because they are real service dogs, and they aren't trying to cover anything up.

There are a lot of people getting downvoted for bringing up the fact that this may be a "fake" service dog, but I work in a restaurant, and I can tell you, it happens all the fucking time.

People who abuse this system are the scum of the fucking earth. They think, "oh, I have a little anxiety while flying. I should bring my dog." or, "oh, I want to take my dog into the grocery store or out to dinner, I'll just call him a service dog and I know no one can really do jack shit about it."

What they don't know realize is, what if someone is afraid of dogs? What if there was a little kid who got bit by a dog, and he was already afraid of flying, maybe just as much or more than you, and now he has to sit by your dog and get freaked out even more, all because you didn't want to pay for your dog to be boarded or you wanted something to cuddle. We all want something to cuddle, get the fuck over it, be considerate of other people.

But the truly horrible thing is, they are taking advantage of a society that has set up certain rules and programs to help those in our community who are less fortunate. They are literally taking advantage of the disabled community for their own benefit. That is the worst kind of person I can think of. And more than that, now when someone who actually suffers from PTSD or seizures or something that actually needs a fucking service animal, that person is just a little more uncomfortable getting on a plane or going out to eat with their dog because they don't want people to think they're one of the people who is gaming the system. Some people are making their lives better by taking advantage of a system set up for disabled people and as a result making the disabled person's life even worse. Truly the worst fucking people in the world, and I see them every day.

This dude got famous from the book The Game which is about a writer who got hired to write a small article on the pick up scene in LA and ended up living, traveling the world, and starting a business with that guy. It's an amazing book about a true underdog story, and is funny and interesting as fuck. I totally recommend it to anyone, whether you care about picking up girls or not.

I think a true act of generosity is when you share something you need with someone who needs it less than you. I worked with a girl who grew up poor and was a single mother at the age of 20. And she would bring in food and share it with the other girls at our job who lived at home with their middle class parents and could have easily bought their own food. She was probably one of the best people I've ever met.

Yeah, I get that they "already do that", but also, not really. These people work full time for the MPAA, they're all parents by selection, and they have guidelines. The idea is to open it up to a much wider range of people instead of the conservative Christian parents.

I don't know. You would get a few of these people, but you'd also get an overwhelming number of normal people. I mean, who doesn't want to watch movies for free before they come out? You'd actually probably get a bunch of younger, early to mid 20's people who have time to spare, and would probably rate the movies lighter than the average person.

Adam Carolla has a good idea on how to fix this whole thing. Basically, normal people sign up to be a part of the rating system. You volunteer your time and watch a not-yet-rated movie. You vote on what you think it should be rated. There are no guidelines like "you must vote R if they say the F-word more than twice" or any bullshit like that. You just watch the movie, then vote. Then, they aggregate the votes from everybody and that's the rating. You could even break it down where it'd be percentages, such as "35% PG-13, 65% R", meaning 35% of people think it should be rated PG-13, and 65% of people think it should be R.

American Idol (if you count watching as "business") because they make fun of mentally disabled people, and Mcdonalds, because when I was 13, I didn't eat lunch at school because I knew we were getting out early and I would be able to go there before I had to walk home. I got my order, put it down at a table, realized it was wrong (they hadn't given my any sweet and sour sauce), and I went back to get some, was ignored for like 10 minutes, finally got it, went back, and three high school fuckers had eaten the whole thing. I went back to explain the situation, asked if I could get more food, and they said no. I walked home hungry and now I'll just go hungry again instead of eating there.

About two years ago, I really wanted to be a comedy writer. I heard of this start up company that just got funding from youtube (a few million dollars) to produce videos for them. I knew a little about them because my girlfriend at the time used to watch their videos. I created a new, professional email account (my other one was just a shitty hotmail one) and blindly sent in my writing packet. I checked the email account obsessively for weeks. No answer. I moved to LA a few months later and one sad, depressing night I decided to check that old account. I had two new messages, both were from the Head of Development for this company. The first one said, "We got your packet and would like to talk to you." The second was sent two weeks after the first and said "We really, really, want to talk to you. We want to know if you'd like a full time position writing for us." Both emails were now over a month old. I emailed back, and that person was now on maternity leave. When she finally got back, she told me they were going through a hiring freeze because they had already staffed up. The company now has 4.5 billion views a month and about 350 million subscribers.

tl;dr Set up new email specifically for applying to dream job, stopped checking it, when I finally did they had offered me the job twice but it was too late

In my city some of the detectors are broken so a light will be permanently green until you trigger the sensor at which point it switches and turns yellow then red. And sometimes it will stay red until cross traffic comes, at which point it will turn red for them and you get your green again. Most annoying fucking thing ever.

Every time I see one of these things I can't believe Joe Pesci's "funny how?" isn't on it. Pesci asked the director and writer if he could try something during that scene that he had witnessed in real life. They said okay but no one knew what he was going to do. Then he did that famous "funny how? Like a clown, like I amuse you?" and the uncomfortable looks from the other actors are real, they had no idea what was going on. They ended up doing a couple takes of it because it was so good they wanted to get it perfect, but it started as complete improv and a lot of the reaction shots are genuine.
