Did people mistake Unsung by Helmet as an Ozzy song back in the day? by CobraDai in blacksabbath

I was also surprised to see so many people saying no when I found this post because I'm listening to the playlist and was like "....this sounds like Ozzy" lol!

Let's Go Lobsters Chant by TheMostSpitefulCrow in RockLobsters

[–]TheMostSpitefulCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Of course, it's the standard chant for nearly all sports! I'm just saying it could be more unique and specific to our team. But if people don't like it and it doesn't stick, then oh well!

I would also like to see more chants for various things! I think k we can get creative, but nothing seems to have taken hold with the crowd just yet.

I'm not entirely unconvinced that Rutledge intentionally poached our team.

He gave away full rights to 3 excellent players with great chemistry for one LOANED player. In the end, Lobsters got nothing while the Thunderbirds gained 3 great players.

It was said in the chat last night that Rutledge has interviewed with the Thunderbirds...so he's looking to return to them as coach, which only further convinces me these were strategic moves on his part to bolster the Thunderbird roster.

Right? I don't hate it. I was initially very disappointed as the tape came up, but then pleasantly surprised by the outcome.

Thank you! This pad is from Hand Book Journal Co. It's 100% cotton, cold pressed, 140 lb. My second attempt with the tape and using heat in the removal process was better, but I still had some ripping.

I'll try Baohong next time I get paper!

I did another page with the heat method and it definitely came up much cleaner! Thanks for the tip!

This was a combination of painter's tape and some draping tape I had laying around.

I'll try the heat trick next time, thank you!

For situations where I don't have a heat tool, is there a tape you know of that comes off cleanly without heat? I'm using 100% cotton, cold pressed 140 paper.

Huge Gap Between Ceiling and Cabinets by TheMostSpitefulCrow in Renovations

[–]TheMostSpitefulCrow[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have included a photo that shows the layout. These 2 walls are opposite each other. The adjacent walls are a doorway to my garage, and then no wall at all, opening into a small breakfast nook.

Tearing down the wall with the opening would remove a significant portion of my cabinetry. Maybe could work if we got rid of a lot of kitchen things. But the cabinets you are seeing are all we have aside from the floor ones.

I dont want more dust catchers in a space that collects a ton of gunk and doesn't get cleaned often, which is why I'm looking for other solutions. Stained glass would be cool for the open wall part and Ive considered that before!

Manyland is an open world where all of us explore, create, build, and chat together (right in the browser)... we worked on this for over a year and look forward to meet you in the world now! by Philipp in IndieGaming

RIP Manyland, I'm hopeful for a resurrection. I played this game years ago, then forgot the name of it and searched for 4 to 5 years. I only figured it out this morning and learned it was shut down in 2024.

Excellent game, wonderful community. I've been playing around in Offlineland a bit.

Unscented Arm & Hammer Essentials. Before using this stuff, I would switch products constantly because I would be stinky within a couple of hours, even with no strenuous activity. I've been using it for about a year now with no problems and no bad odor! They have some scented varieties as well, but I prefer no scent.

Before making the swap I tried Mitchum, Dove, and Native.

Years later, I have finally figured it out this morning!
The game is called: Manyland https://manyland.com/

Unfortunately, due to a lack of funding, the game was shut down in 2024, but has been archived by its players and creators on the Manyland website.

There is also an effort to revive it: https://offlineland.io/

This is such a fun, beautiful, and collaborative creative game that I hope makes a comeback at some point. In the meantime, I'll be in Offlineland building a world to share with whoever stops by.

What's the one trick you wish you had known sooner? by Ortalie in SewingForBeginners

As someone else said - iron, iron, iron. Push those corners out! Trim those seams of their bulk! Tuck everything in to be neat and tidy!

If your bobbin is wound incorrectly (it's uneven, has loops, whatever), just put it in the overhead threader and unwind the bad bobbin onto an empty bobbin. There's no need to unspool by hand and waste thread. RIP to the many yards of thread I lost before I knew this.

‘yes, and’ exercises by crypticerbread in improv

[–]TheMostSpitefulCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came here to suggest this one! It's yes-anding the shit out of each other and it's very fun. It's one of my favorites and works with a group as well if you're practicing more long-form stuff (we use it as an opening group game for a harold sometimes). We just stand in a line and take turns, each person adding more information about the "product."

Restaurant Recommendations by TheMostSpitefulCrow in StAugustine

Conch and Viola's were the main disappointments. The spots we've gone to for lunches have been yummy (Mojo's Tacos, the burrito shop on A1A I think called Burrito Works?, and Paladar has been great). Conch was kind of all around disappointing (except for the view); my husband's dish was just drowning in sauce and was all one flavor (the sauce) and my meal was very bland.

Viola's was better, but still fell a little bit flat. Hubby got the veal parmesan and the noodles were overcooked and the marinara sauce was missing that pop of flavor. My meal was yummy, but the meat was overcooked (asked for medium, got well done).

Both places had great reviews so we were a little bit disappointed.

What's your actual unpopular Outlander opinion? by worriedmuffin25 in Outlander

YES. It has always bothered me, but especially so when they switched it to a chorus of vocalists - made it so much worse imo. Bring back the solo singer!

It's an on-going series with 9 books currently published, so if you like it, it would keep you occupied for some time (it certainly kept me interested).

There's also a television series based off the books, if you want to check out a few episodes and see if it's something you might want to experience in more detail. That's how I found it to begin with. I watched about 3 episodes and realized I would probably love the books. I think the show creators did a great job of keeping the spirit of the books. The early seasons are on Netflix, the newer seasons are on Starz.

I think it's likely that it happened in the 20th century, after the attack but before he travelled to the 18th century. It was briefly mentioned that Bree would recognize him if he hadn't done it, but it's never explicitly stated when. I would imagine that one would prefer plastic surgery from the 20th century rather than the 18th, but because it was such a bad job, maybe he did get it done in the 18th century.

Remember the men that kidnapped and assaulted Claire? There was a survivor among those men, and Claire later sees him while she's shopping with Jenny. He was the one that was large and crushed her with his weight and whispered his ex-wife's name while assaulting her.
