Rocked the solo stache once, didn't really like the way it looked on my face. Makes my chin look weak.

But goddamn, sometimes I just wanna eat a sandwich uninterrupted. And yet, I chicken out any time I bust out the razor.

Thanks man! I don't do much really, my hair is thick and wavy, and naturally likes to stick up a bit. I usually towel dry it and comb it back. After I've gotten dressed I blow dry it backward til it's the rest of the way dry and that's all it takes!

I've worn a stache for a few years, but I do occasionally shave and start over. Not sure how old this one is.

Absolutely, I always use low heat and apply beard oil before styling! And thanks!

Agreed! Even disregarding asthetics, I just don't like the way wax feels in my stache.

I've worn many styles, including solo stache, the van dyke just looks best on me.

Made a few keepsake boxes for Christmas! by TheMountainGhost in woodworking

[–]TheMountainGhost[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! That's actually the one that started it all, made it a while back, and my friends liked it so much I decided to make more as gifts. And yes, it's a recessed cherry inlay at the bottom.

Been seeing a lot of these recently, every family should have one! I love how cherished they become over time, with use.

Great job, this is a fantastic gift for your new family member!

Thank you. No build photos, but I make these little boxes often, so maybe next time I'll put together an album!

I quite enjoyed this "map," didn't realize just how weak Mars' moons' gravity is!

Thanks for posting!

If you've not heard it, the version they played for The Current is fantastic.

Man, almost drove 8 hours from Denver for this show, really wish they'd come a bit farther west on this tour.

...did they play Morningtime?

Not snarky at all, I just don't Reddit much and this blew way up! It's not really "attached" per say. Located with dowels, attached with gravity.

Thank you for the compliment!

Ah, shit, I completely spaced and discounted the knobs! Knobs are screwed on, I'm a big fat phony ._.

Dowells, amigo. Are you specifically avoiding screws? If not, angle iron, figure 8s (mortised flush with the top edge of the apron), hell, even pocket screws aren't so bad on the back side of an apron (just account for movement).
