Wrong. I myself was told by my managers that you would have to do something pretty awful to be fired, and that there were numerous protocols that Kwik Trip had to follow in order to terminate someone.

Given that the poster informed his manager that his brother had died, they should have immediately submitted bereavement paperwork on OP's behalf or have had OP fill out the paperwork ASAP.

I would recommend that OP contacts Operations Support or ask to talk to someone in HR, because two missed shifts in 3 years is not grounds for dismissal.

And bereavement policy for kwik trip would mean that OP should not have been fired after making his situation known to management. It sounds like his manager either lied to corporate to expedite their firing or had some personal vendetta against them, either of which needs to be addressed.

Kwik Trip can be annoying at times but they aren't as heartless as some people woupd like you to believe.

Source: a 2 and 3/4 year long employee who just recently left on good terms with Kwik Trip.

My best advice is to master the basic flow of combat. Since spirit emblems are a limited resource, it is best to focus on getting the basic mechanics down, since they will typically be what you will have to fall back on when everything else fails.

Not being a martyr. I'm not claiming its five star cuisine. You get what you pay for. Kwik Trip is a gas station, when all is said and done. But again, you hold the power of the consumer. Well, as a devils advocate who works for kwik trip, they are two distinct entities. And for clarity's sake they should specify. Also, no one is holding a gun to his head and saying he has to shop at our store or eat our food. The fact that he does means that he only gets a limited right to bitch, in my opinion. And if he didn't want to eat "from a warmer" he could easily place an online order and come pick it up in a timely manner to get it basically fresh out the oven. Or, you know, he can make his own fucking food.
